  1. It's very hard not to compare to others. I thk we all do that at times. Its good that your nut thinks you're doing good. That's a huge plus.
  2. Okay I read the article and realize that using those medication repeatedly can block malabsorbtion but continual acid that comes up caused by acid reflux can cause cancer. I think a person would need to weigh the odds between the two and see how often they are using the medication. I dont take even take then weekly now but prior to surgery I did.
  3. Sorry for all the typos. My smartphone is not that smart.
  4. I use acid reducers and they work wonderful.
  5. I understand getting tired of meats! I go through stages of that too. What works for me is fluctuating my calories, carbs and protein. I may eat 800+ one day and 500+ the next day. I may eat abt the same in carbs and protein one day and the next day low carb and high protein. I realize everyone's body is diff and this may not work for you but just an idea. I know how frustrating you must feel. Im very sorry for your frustration but you are losing and that's always a plus! Im not a fast loser like most either but steady losing. It frustrated me at first but then I realized we are all diff and the weight will come off diff. There were times when I want losing lbs but inches were coming off. It will come off!
  6. To get net carbs do you subtract dietary fiber and sugar? Or just dietary fiber?

Sometimes I eat almonds for Breakfast. I hv never been a big breakfast eater tuna with baked scoops Or (frozen) beef or grilled chicken strips with onions and cheese. Rolled up lunch meat n cheese I eat flat bread when making a sandwich Tacos: lean hamburger meat or turkey meat with onion, cheese and corn tortillas. Refried Beans, lettuce, tomatoes. Saute chicken with small amount of olive oil, garlic and all season salt and you can mix a jar of Alfredo sauce and toss in some frozen mixed veggies. I just started getting this at Walmart. Its by Hormel. Chicken and gravy that's found in the meat section. There's another flavor that's not high in carbs also but haven't tried it yet. I think its the meatloaf. Its high in Protein with very little carbs. Marinated boundless chicken breast or strips in Zest Italian sauce. (overnight is better but a few hours works). Very good. Im making myself hungry lol. I need ideas too. Im getting tired of the same ole stuff

Everyone is diff and how we handle situations are diff also. I for one am very open about my wls and eagerly tell others when asked. I did this for me and no one else. Do I get the looks? Do they say its the easy way out behind my back? Why sure, lots do but I dont care. They dont walk in my shoes nor do I in there's. I did this to be healthier and feel better. But there are negative people out there and all they want to do is rain on others parade. Lie? Not something I would chose to do but their are many ways to word things without lying about wls if you didn't want others to know.
  13. I dont waste my food but eat lots of left overs when I go out. Its my lunch at work ir dinner the next day. Sometimes I eat 3 meals out of us going out to eat once.
  14. There are days I feel like I can eat more then other days I can't. So maybe we all go thru stuff like that. I will be 7 months on the 16th.
  15. I have got to try these
  16. Found this recipe and it sounds good. Ingredients * 8 – 10 oz ground organic, lean turkey meat (you can use chicken breast) * 2 tablespoons fresh oregano, chopped * 2 garlic cloves, minced * 4 thick slices of zucchini (or eggplant, summer squash, etc.) * Olive oil spray * Salt & pepper to taste * Toppings: sliced tomato, avocado, cheese, ketchup, mustard, mayo, hot sauce, etc. Instructions * In a large bowl, combine the turkey meat, oregano and garlic cloves, and mix with your hands until fully combined. Form into two patties and set aside. * Heat a grill pan (or outdoor grill) to medium high heat. * Spray the zucchini on both sides and sprinkle with salt and pepper. * Add the zucchini to the grill pan, cooking 2 – 3 minutes per side until you have nice grill marks and the zucchini still holds its shape. * Add the turkey burgers to the grill, cooking 3 – 5 minutes per side, until cooked. * Serve between zucchini slices and add your preferred toppings. * Enjoy!
