Anyone passing out?!?
maybe your blood pressure is too low and you should have it checked. Are you getting in enough calories and liquids each day? I try to eat something every 3-4 hours and if I'm not eating, I'm definitely drinking.

I just can't get them down!
When I was 2 weeks out, I started taking gummy vitamins. I made sure I chewed them up very well and have had no problems with them. For calcium, I take the calcium chews and again I just chew them up really well. Good luck with taking your vitamins and calcium.

3 weeks til surgery!
Your surgery date will be upon you before you know it. I think feeling "crappy" is partially a state of mind. Just remember that each day gets better and better. I remember focusing on getting in all my proteins and liquids in the beginning that feeling "crappy" just wasn't on my mind. I have to admit, my kids are teenagers so it made my healing process easier...since teenagers don't really rely on parents as much....they think they know it all...lol. I wish you all the best, I know with 5 girls, it'll be challenging.

Asking for support and prayers
maybe next time they make a comment about your weight, take it as an opening to let them know your concerns and fears. Just let them know you will do your best to be healthier. Don't stress over it, you will be losing weight....just follow your doctor and nutritionist guidelines. We're all here for you!

Post op Walking Hot Mama
Good for you! I'm a walker also. I usually do 10 - 15k steps each day during the week and on weekends I increase my steps to 20 -25k steps each day. However the days I increase my steps, I also increase my calories...trying to keep my body from thinking it should go into starvation mode and present me with a stall.

Skin problem sitting
maybe you need to wear spanx or something to keep the loose skin from rubbing. As for the dry skin, I find using vitamin e oil helps my skin a lot. You can find a small bottle of it in the vitamin section. I find it keeps my skin hydrated very well. Also, make sure you are drinking enough fluids...this will help with dry skin also....good luck.

Silken tofu
I love tofu! I've had silken tofu before, but I prefer medium to firm tofu. I am passed the puree stage though, so the silken probably is the best for puree.

Fatigue
maybe increase your calorie intake and fluids ...hope you get our energy back soon.

Cost post sleeve
I had a $5 surgeon copay. That was all I had to pay. I have great insurance.

Patiently waiting
Yes, waiting is so hard, I had to do a 6 month program and it seemed like forever until it was within a month, then it didn't seem so bad. If we want it bad enough then we go along with the insurance companies and jump through as many hoops as necessary. Your time will come!

Diabetes cured post-op, then it returned? Let me know of this happened to you.
Hi, I have high blood pressure and I am off my medication now. I must say it's a combination of exercise (for me it's walking) and eating healthier. Since I had started walking prior to surgery, I noticed that my blood pressure was coming down already. In the past, when I lost weight and exercised, my blood pressure was fine, but if I gained weight (from not eating right) and stopped exercising, my blood pressure went back up. I'm hoping that I will be able to continue with the healthy eating and exercising to stay off HBP meds.

insurace denial.
Awww...I'm sorry that this happened. I hope your doctor's office gets it straightened out so you'll be approved. Good luck!
