  1. I still get this occasionally and have talked to my doctor about it. Usually it is a symptom of being dehydrated but also it can be a natural body response. Sometimes the blood just doesn't move fast enough in our bodies. If upping your liquid intake doesn't help, get up slower and take time to talk with your doctor to make sure it's not something else.
  2. Congrats and way to work your sleeve!
  3. I had no restrictions. I only didn't take it for the two days I was in the hospital.
  4. I love this thread. It is always so inspiring. I realized I haven't posted here for awhile. I hit goal a week ago. CW 139.
  5. Glad to hear you are back at work. Doc's orders make sense, wouldn't want to jeopardize your results. Congrats on all your milestones this week.
  6. The scale was definitely playing tricks on me last week. Today's weight is 139.
  7. I've had better success with trainers not associated with a gym. There are two downfalls with gym trainers. First usually the gym controls part or all of the pricing so you can end up paying more vs. working with someone free to negotiate a price. Second, you are limited to who is on staff at that location and only being able to workout there. I use a trainer 3 days a week. I interviewed several and she was the one I clicked with because we are the same age. Around the holidays, I asked her about the possibility of prepaying several months in advance in exchange for a break in price. This was a win-win, she got needed cash for holiday shopping and l got to keep my resolution to working out because I am pre-paid so no excuses I want to get my money's worth. Since I am not tied to a gym location, most days we workout at my house but occasionally we workout outside or I go to one of the group classes she teaches.
  8. Thank you all! I am excited.
  9. I have the same fear. I try not to take off more than two days in a row and I schedule my exercise. My workout clothes went first into my suitcase for my upcoming business trip. Join a fitness challenge where rest days are part of the program. Then you will know exactly when you will exercise next. If you keep your head in the game I think you will be fine.
  10. What would you recommend by "work on your fitness"? I work out 5-6 days a week currently.
  11. Make 2 payments if you have too. Care credit is high interest. You may also want to check out the Mexico thread. Lots of happy folks were sleeved there for a lot less than in the US.
  12. What a year it has been. I can't truly process all the changes that have happened. This time last year I was resting at home recovering from surgery and now I am officially at goal! I feel so blessed that I was given the opportunity to be sleeved. Definitely the best decision I have ever made. Here's a few photos: This morning Before and 3 months out Today Yeah me!
  13. How much liquid/water did you take in today?
  14. Besides what others mentioned, I needed Ducolax once I got home. Your first BM is generally not fun so some kind of stool softener / laxative is a must.
  15. My ticker breaks it out by month. I'm a year out. DOS 232, CW 141
  16. I love colored denim! I say, "go for it".
  17. My 1 yr post op appt is in 2 days so I'll keep you posted if things changes. Right now I take two Flinstones with iron (purple bottle), 600 mg of liquid calcium citrate from Vitamin World, Bariatric Advantage liquid b-12 1000 mcgs 2-3 times a week, and a rx Vitamin D b/c I was low b4 surgery.
  18. My Nut has the exact opposite advice. She does not want me to drink my calories. I would ask your Nut about swapping out milk for Greek yogurt or half an apple with peanut butter, etc. My Nut is pretty responsive to my requests. I hope your is as well.
  19. A Hiccup and if I go too far, pain btwn my shoulder blades.
  20. Apparently my body is playing tricks on me. I am at home sick in bed so now the scale says 141. I probably need to wait a few days to know where I really am.
  21. If you are on the mobile app, when you reply to the thread there is a plus (+) button at the top next to the send button. It will allow you to attach photos from your phone, iPad, etc.
  22. Given that we consume such small amounts, you will still need vitamins. Green smoothies are great but they do not contain all the vitamins and minerals we need every day. It is hard even without a sleeve to get all of your daily nutrients from food in the recommended amounts. Please follow your program guidelines, they are there for a reason. Nutritional deficiencies are serious business.
  23. You look amazing. Wish my tummy was flat like that! Keep rocking that sleeve!
