Green Smoothies

I'm just new at this WLS, had mine 4 days ago and still coping with the whole liquid diet.

My question is; when or are green smoothies allowed? Will my new stomach be able to handle this drink 2weeks after?

I'm keen to not want to rely on Vitamin tablets or go for vitamin injections...so will I be able to have green smoothies? Has anyone else had them?

I too am a green a smoothie person and I know my surgeon and NUT mentioned that fruits and veg need to wait a few weeks bc of how difficult they can be to digest. Be careful ! Ask your Dr first :)

Given that we consume such small amounts, you will still need vitamins. Green smoothies are great but they do not contain all the vitamins and minerals we need every day. It is hard even without a sleeve to get all of your daily nutrients from food in the recommended amounts. Please follow your program guidelines, they are there for a reason. Nutritional deficiencies are serious business.
