Yay for you! Well you already have God on your side, nothing to be nervous about. I prayed that if this was a tool for me then He'd make it possible....And did He ever!!! The surgery has been a real blessing to me. I'm off my BP medicine! Be joyful and encouraged!! : )

Yes, he is.

Yes he is...that's my birthday...so I will say a little prayer for all my new sleevers on that day as well... good luck... it is the best decision I have ever made!

My date is March 19th and I know God is watching all of us :)

yes, God is good! i am scheduled for the 10th of this month. however, i just got finished reading about people that get leaks and it really concerns me. i am really going to do some heavy praying to see if this is what i need to do.

Mississippi Girl- I am on the 10th as well (and a Mississippi Girl, too)! Leaks are a very, very, small percentage- a risk nonetheless. I have some worries but I am going to pray without ceasing and I believe He will carry me through just fine :) !

as we all know, every surgery has risks...most drs do a leak test when the complete the surgery or the next day to be sure that we are all sewed up nice and tight... you have to think "BIG PICTURE" of how this is going to be a benefit for you

Follow all the rules and do pray. U will do great and so excited on results as they come. Its definitely been a "journey" but best decision I have ever made. Im healthier and skinnier and much happier. Good luck

thanks for all the support. you guys are great. mommyof3boys, from mississippi, we will have to keep in touch. praying for you girl. we will rock this with the help of God. I know he is with all of us thought this journey. I am using Jerusalem Hospital, with either Dr. Jose Luis Curiel or dr. Ponce de leon. Has anyone heard of these particular doctors and facility? thanks again. Love from Mississippi!

I agree GOD is so good he has seen me through a lot including my vsg surgery. I am so blessed to have a good support group of friends like y'all. I am praying for all the new sleevers out there. Good luck it's a good decision...

I think everyone has some fear when it comes to the leaks. But do what the dr says and listen to your body. If something doesnt feel right act on it. We as women have a wonderful gift called womens intuition. Use it. Listen to your body and you'll be ok

That's wonderful your date is right around the corner, much success to you going forward.

So did you have your surgery? How did it go? Did you use Jose Luis Curiel? I am going in August and want to hear feedback on my surgeon as I am a bit worried but trying to put my faith in God!
