sleeve reset was successful
I always think about getting back on a PPI but haven't yet. I think a lot of my problem is head hunger.

Why Does Everyone Want To Be A "Food Addict?"
Food addiction is a way of saying you have an eating disorder. Is bulimia or binge eating made up? Mine isn't.

@wifey I'm hungry all the time too. I'm 24 months out and after being programmed for the last couple of years to each 4-5 times a day. I feel like eating is all I do! I started prepping my food and freezing pre-portioned out so I can stick to better choices. I also have been upping my fluids in lieu of food.

I hit goal in March and at some point would like to lose another 5-8 lbs to reach my stretch goal and create a bounce range. Here's a photo from two weeks ago. Participation In Support Groups Proven To Improve Long-term Outcomes
I am so lucky to have a support group through my surgeon's office. It's run by the head of the bariatrics program of the hospital where I had surgery and my surgeon's NUT. It's a drive to get there but so worth it. i learn something new every time.

10 week post op appointments
To get my calories up, I added healthy fats like avocado and hemp seeds. I stopped buying low fat cheese (except string cheese and babybel- prefer lowfat there). I also added more fiber rich foods like carb balance tortillas, fruit and veggies. My carbs are up but they are healthy carbs. I did add one food that could be considered a slider but it is healthy, dry roasted edamame, 1/4c is 130 calories and 14 grams of protein. I can eat 1/2c of those buggers. I would try for 800 cals for a couple of weeks and then 1000 after that.

First attempt at smoothie 3-16-13
Smoothies can't be all things at once, i.e. greens, fruit, protein, and dairy. Your better off picking two: fruit and veggies; dairy and protein, etc. Spinach is easier when you are first starting, kale can be a bit bitter at first. Dairy is tricky in smoothies with greens, fruit and OJ or water is a better base. Start with more fruit than greens the first few times and slowly change your ratio as your tastes adjust. Green smoothies are delicious but an acquired taste.

Insurance Covers Bypass Or Band, How To Get Sleeve?
I have called my insurance (Healthnet h,m,o) and they cover WLS but have several conditions that worry me. first they require all procedures to go through their Bariatric Centers. Has anyone heard of these, dealt with them. Second, they only cover the lap-band or gastric bypass UNLESS some how the doctor proves that the sleeve is medically necessary. Does anyone know how to prove the sleeve is necessary and conversley that these other forms are WLS would be contra-indicated? I really only want the sleeve after doing my research. Lastly, does anyone with Healthnet *** know what the steps are to their approval process. I couldn't figure out if they require dieting, nutrition counseling, classes, etc. thank you!
