Since getting an unfill last week, I can eat anything and everything, no restriction what so ever, boohooo.
  3. My first pair of Calvin Klein jeans when they were the rage back in the 80's. It was right after I lost 50 lbs and they've got lycra, so I doubt I could get an arm in one of the legs, of these itty bitty jeans, LOL.
  4. Welcome to slimeworld, not much fun, but it does get that food either up and out or down and out.
  5. Terri, I may have said the wrong one, I always get medicare and medicaid mixed up, which one's for the retirees? Thanks
  6. I had 1 overnite stay, but they just told my mom who's scheduled for April 7 she'd be released later the same day. I'm not real happy about that cause she's 73 and I know she'd feel better knowing she was in the right place if there were problems. Looks like me and the doc are gonna have to talk! Yes, Alex, me personally, I think I would have preferred being at home too, but she needs that motivation to walk those blood clots out and the gas as well.
  7. Ok this is a little secret and it's pretty disgusting, but last week when my fill was too tight, we were at this restaurant and they had these red plastic glasses that say pepsi or coke on them, welllll, I'd pretend to be taking a sip and I'd let a slime go, hehe, no one ever knew I was having a major pb attack and had already been to the rr twice. Before we left, I took my napkin and tucked it down in the glass, after all I wouldn't want to gross anybody out! Now I keep a styrfoam cup in my car, so if i have to spit ya can't see what's in the cup. My dh and ds both dip, so when they opened the lid to spit their dip, they got a dish of what I've been putting up with all these years and their dipping spit stuff. Paybacks are hell boys!
  8. Be sure to drink some water and sit around for a bit before you run out the door and head home. Be sure it's not too tight, which can be just as bad as not tight enough. I wish you luck on finding the "sweet" spot too.
  9. I wouldn't nix the cabbage, I'd just cook em to death, then they'd be plenty mushy and good too. As for the cornbeef, put it through the blender, mush it up, lol.
  10. I don't know what's worse knowing from the get go that the band is not even a consideration as far as insurance goes as was my case or getting your hopes up and finding out you're denied. My mom has been told she'd probably be covered, then she was told she wouldn't be, then she was told there was a chance they might cover part, then she was told she was denied, now they're back to the maybe again. She doesn't have bc/bs, she has mailhanlrs and medicare. Good luck
  11. Did you get your fill under fluoro? My doctor doesn't use it, so the first fill I got missed the port, I had absolutely NO restriction. How much did the doctor put in? My second fill was the bomb, and I couldn't keep anything down, and I had to go get an unfill. You guessed it, now I'm wide open. It's such a touchy situation to find that "sweet" spot. I'm suppose to go for a regular 3rd fill April 3, but I think I'm gonna have to bump it up or I'm liable to gain everything back, errrrrr. Oh in answer to your question, my doc makes appts about every 6 weeks, although the folks he bands with the larger band go about every 4 weeks. Good luck!
  12. Best of luck Brandi, and welcome to LBT.
  13. Wow, where do I start, "what should I expect", what particular questions do you have? There is a wealth of info on this site. Use the search engine for starters, then if you can be more specific, you'll have more answers/opinions than you know what to do with, LOL. Welcome!
  14. I'm with Vera, DON'T DRINK WATER and don't take deep breaths, I think it causes, at least for me I know it does, pressure around the band. Errrrr chicken!
  15. Today's a new day, hope all is well.
  16. I use the back button too, once I don't get the new posts I haven't read yet. I seem to be able to click on new posts a few times before the list shortens.

Ok Betty, send the sunshine, they're calling for more snow here in VA...errrrrr! I want sun and fun.
  18. Congratulations, welcome aboard the "band" wagon.
  19. Thanks Alex, that's exactly what I meant, lol.
  20. Point well taken with the Cream, wow 1600 calories is a lot. I still gotta have my coffee though I will keep the cream calories in mind. I just ordered coffee from Holland, yummm, can't wait until it gets here.
  21. Welcome, not only good info here, but good folks as well. Good luck on your journey.
  22. Ouch, good luck with getting those nasty things out.
  23. I too had shoulder pain, massage of that area helped a lot. Welcome to bandland, I wish you the best.
  24. Been there done that, just had an unfill for the above reasons. Now I'm wide open, no restriction what so ever. I keep a cup in my car. My problem is I don't know how to do a clean spit, lol. Hope you're feeling better, it's an awful feeling for sure. I'm calling the dr for a refill tomorrow, although after 8 days of not keeping anything down, it was so good to eat.
  25. Alex, you're my kinda woman, kitchens are for looks and opening the to go boxes.
