  7. Im 5 weeks out and I have the same issue from time to time. Mine still bleed on occasion because my stitch came apart. My doc looked at it and said it was fine. Just have your doc take a look at it. As a side note, I think I started back exercising way too soon do its my fault the stitch bust!!

  10. Same here. I was sleeves May 7th and fish is my go to food. Everything else is up in the air. My sleeve doesn't like cherries and I'm not happy about that!!
  11. Checking in!!! Goal for July 4th is 25 pounds Progress: As of 6/7/12: down 5 pounds. Walking and jogging for one hour 3x this week. Strength training for one hour 2x this week. Exercising is helping so much. I'm losing more inches than pounds. One more goal for July 4th is to run the entire track for half mile. Lets see what happens!!

  13. Sleeved May 7th, down 22 lbs!
  14. I was thinking the same thing. I was told I will have labs at my 6 month and yearly appointments. It feels weird that I won't have to go back for 6 months but my doctor office encouraged me to come in before if needed.
  15. I had my 3 week follow up appointment today. My doc prescribe actigall and the dietician requests I take calcium citrate, iron and b12 supplements. So far I am on the right track and I am down 30 pounds. Im still adjusting to eating smaller portions and making sure I stay hydrated. So far so good, in hoping to drop more pounds soon because Im tired of looking at my fat belly!!
  16. I'm in for the challenge. This is my first one!! My goal is 25 pounds by July 4th. Surgery date: 5/7/12 Starting weight: 274 Current weight: 255 Goal: 150 Let's get it in everyone!! Good luck
  17. Congrats and good luck to you!!
  18. I was sleeved by Dr. Regan at Columbia St. Mary's in Milwaukee. It's a great team and they keep you informed and provide a lot of support. There's also a bariatric program at Aurora. I attended their information session and it seemed like they make you do all the work when dealing with the insurance. St. Mary's took care of everything for me.
  19. I personally told my sister and two of my friends. My sister told my parents and brother. I asked my parents not to tell anyone but they can't hold water!! My dad told my Grandma who called and talked to me until I told her (I know she already knew). I have not told my best childhood friend because she has made it clear she is against it. No one at my job know about it. I just feel I don't have to explain my decision to anyone. It's my life and my body and my decision to share my business.
  20. My schedules follow ups are at 3 weeks, 6 months and one year with the bariatric team or if I feel the need to come in so you are probably fine. All of my labs Pre-op were done with my PCP because I chose a doctor that was not in the same network as my PCP. Just make sure you continue following the plan and you should be fine. Doctor visits are expensive enough and I'm glad I don't have to go in every month like I did Pre-op.
  21. You look great!!! Keep up the food work. I haven't gone shopping yet but my current clothes aren't feeling as snug as they use to. I'm ecstatic about that. I'm only 2 weeks out tomorrow so I'm hoping this time next month, I can shop a little bit!!
  22. I love bananas but somehow they make me sick!! I cut the skin from an apple and puréed it, it worked pretty good. Strawberries go down good for me to but I cut them into bit size pieces and mixed them with my cottage cheese.
