Not Loosing Weight
I never thought of doing my BMR but I did it and it's supposed to be 1897.95! I'm eating nowhere near that! I have been really thirsty lately so maybe it's liquid. And i am near TOM. I'll just continue with business as usual and won't weight myself in the next 2 weeks. Thanks for all the great advice!!!

Thank you, I guess I'll just have to be more patient (which is not my best atribute to begin with). I appreciate the support.

Not Loosing Weight
Yes, I drink my 2 protein shakes in the morning to mid day they are 160 cal, 1g of sugar 3 g of fat and 30 g of protein. As far as other stuff maybe 400 more calories? i've been eating about 4 oz of mashed up lentils or bean soup ( per day for dinner) and about 2oz of cottage chesse. Plus my water and my vitamins. I've always had a slow metabolism but I feel that If I'm not loosing weight at the beginning its only going to get worse!!!

Not Loosing Weight
Hi everyone, I posted on this about two weeks ago and everyone assured me that it will pass but I'm soooo frustrated. I had my surgery a month ago and I lost 12 pounds the first two weeks and now not only I'm not loosing but I gained 2.5 lbs. I'm drinking my protein and my water and vitamins. I'm not eating any kind of sugar and I'm walking 1.5 miles a day. Any advice? Did this happen to anybody?

2 Weeks Post-Op! Need A Change... Help
Hi there! I've been eating lentil soup, I blended tomatoes, garlic and little bit of onion and added it to the lentils, the broth tasted really good. When I began my third week, I blended the lentils and added a little bit of cheese and they taste great! I also made beans and drank the broth. As far as vitamins the chewable make me gag so I bought gummy bears (for adults). Yogurt is awesome and also queso fresco (fresh cheese) it has same protein as cottage cheese but to me it tastes better. Good luck!

Diarrea After Every Meal, Please Help!
Talk to your doctor. I haven't gone through this but it's definitely something they ask me every time I go for my post-op stuff or check ups. Are u maybe lactose intolerant? Try Shakes w/out lactose, or maybe the temperature of your food? For me hot stuff gives me a little bit of diarrhea. Good luck, hope you feel better soon.

4 Days Post Op - Help!
Today is my 3 week mark! I can now start pured diet and I'm excited! I tried drinkin some powerade or gatorade, and when I got nauseous I sucked on a sugarless lollypop. Also, if they are really cold it helps, it doesn't hurt to drink and you can drink more. Or try frozen pops, (sugarless) they count towards your liquids and just suck a little bit a time! I 2 had second thoughts after the surgery, especially the first week, but I feel a lot better now. Just remember ONE DAY AT A TIME!!!

All Food Still Looks Good.
Hi there! I just started week 3 on Sunday (blended food) and I can eat a lot less than I can jello or protein shakes!!! I was surprised also when I noticed that I could drink more than a couple of sips, but now that I'm on the creams it's a lot less!!! You just know your full and stop because you have to. As far as wanting other people's food, I'm right there with you!!! I want it in my mouth even thought I don't really feel hungry. Everything smells great, but eventually we'll be able to eat everything even if its just one bite!!!

How Did You All Do It?
Hi! I'm on day 16 and thought I was going to loose it and just bite into a cheeseburger or a chip or ANYTHING!!! Don't worry, It'll get better!!! Yesterday I was finally able to start my pureed diet and I had bean soup with a spoon full of mashed up avocado and I was overwhelmed with joy!!! It tasted so good, and you only have a couple of days till you get there! Once you're on your third week you can start with the creams and the yogurth and you'll feel sooo much better. Take a deep breath and remember that this is a long journey and the first two weeks are the worst!!! You're not alone though, we're here for you!!!
