  2. wow that is so exciting!!!! i cannot wait till i can post things like this you are an inspiration!
  3. i have heard that so many times if anyone knew my story they wouldnt say it or even think it. not everyone can come thru surgery, eat the way we do and deal with the mental side of things. it all goes back to the saying "if you dont have anything nice to say dont say anything at all". my usual response when someone says i took the easy way out is "you ARE dumber than you look"
  4. ohhhhh Good luck!!!! prayers are being said enjoy your special day!!! woot woot!!
  5. i had a bad bad bad experience too read "my story (lengthy but its mine) i still believe that just because my surgeon and my band were highly defective that i deserve the right surgery done by the right surgeon which is why im continuing on. i believe i owe it to myself, take your time if its something you think you want then do it. it is such a personal decision dont let anyone tell you what to do follow your heart on this one. i wish you peace.
  6. congrats!!!! i cant wait to feel that feeling!!! it must be awesome!
  7. lol! love rammstein!!! glad you had a great experience you said there was more please share i love stories of triumph!

  11. rggg people like that boil my butt. just know that yes she is most certainly jealous and quiet possibly even afraid because you will be successful. dont be too surprised if she turns hypocritical a few months from now when she sees how great youve done and goes and gets surgery her self..
  12. it doesnt sound like a pity party at all! i started to realize when i had the band that i had food issues and ive been in counseling and its been amazing just take your time. sometimes right after surgery things seem so different you will be ok.
  13. awesome job!!! i am going from lapband to sleeve on 6/5 i hope to have the same success!
  14. ohhh good luck!!! i too am having a band to sleeve on 6/5 so i can completely understand the mix of emotions i finally got to the point today where i stopped took a deep breath and closed my eyes and just focused on the best of the best i told myself i was going to have an amazing speedy recovery with no nausea or complications. i told myself that i was going to do the work that i needed to do to get the weight off and be healthy again, then i imagined myself in all of the cute clothes i was going to be able to wear and not have to buy a size up to hide my tummy and thighs. all in all it was a great meditation! i wish you much joy and i wish you the very things i just spoke of!
  15. ohhhh i can so relate i didnt tell any of my inlaws i was having my lapband when i did it because i didnt want to be under their scrutiny and their judgement im sure i wouldve heard "you took the easy way out" now that the band failed and i have to get sleeved in so glad but ya know what i am finally learning we are our own worst criticis. screw anyone who has the nerve to say anything about what you are doing if they cant support us and be part of our solution then maybe they are part of our problem in the first place. stay strong do what you feel in your heart and dont worry about the rest. '
