  1. I have UHC too. Once my paperwork was submitted, they came back wanting a sleep study and a psychologist report. Then once my doctor's office received that information, it was 4 days later I got the approval.

  8. 1st day post op. can't believe I really made this decision. So excited. The only problem I had was pain &nausea but anytime I asked for meds they gave them to me. It feels so good to be on the Losers Bench! Thanks to each of you for your prayers and support.
  9. Its almost 4:30 am and I'm on my way to the hospital to start my new life. Thanks to this forum for fantastic support! See you on the Loser's Bench! Keep me in your prayers. :-)
  10. Thank you all. Just got off work and moving into my surgery pre-paredness mode for tomorrow morning. I'm packing very light. I'm not nervous yet--that will probably happen when I put on the hospital gown and get on the rolling bed with the little curtain divider. I will report in with you all tomorrow or Wednesday.
  11. Thanks Gene. I'm busy because I'm at work today. Trying to get off a little early so I can run out for SF Popsicles, crystal lite, gasX, water, & other supplies Will be making a clear broth soup tonight. I'm getting excited!!!!!

  13. Me too.....counting the hours with you!! I have to be at the hospital at 5:30am. My friend who has had the surgery is going with me and staying the night in the hospital with me. I have confidence in my doctor. Saying a prayer for you and all others having surgery this week. Will anyone be with you at thevhospital, blonde gal? All the best and God speed!

  22. I've read somewhere on a blog here that there is some type of loan company for the surgery or perhaps some of the surgeons in Mexico work out an arrangement. IDK but it's worth looking into.
  23. Me too! Love Drive-ins, Diners & Dives. The chef with the spikes blonde hair. Having surgery on Tuesday---am a Cajun. And you know Cajuns love their food!
