  1. Congrats! What an inspiration you are. You will be such an asset to other bariatric patients because you personally went through it!
  2. Call your doctor is the best advice I can give you.
  3. My doctor didn't require a pre-op diet. I asked him about it and he said it wasn't necessary. I'm 1 week out and am doing fine-- have lost 7 lbs since surgery.
  4. Raven, so gad you are feeling better each hour! You are so correct about this surgery not being the easy way out.
  5. Delta, you will do fine! As soon as they give you the good "juice" you will not remember a thing. I'm praying for you and sending you warm hugs. Today is what it is all about and the first day towards your weight loss goal. I'll be checking this thread for an update on you later.
  6. I feeling wonderful. Weighed at dr office. Lost 7 lbs--I know it is Water weight & the next few pounds will be water weight, but that's the most weight I've lost in years! So happy I made this decision. Can I ask my sleeve buddies out there who've jusy been sleeved, what the are eating on week two? I'll also take a look under the recipe section. The nutritionist said I could eat mushies: mashed potatoes, mashed cooked carrots, mashed sweet potato, tuna w/ Miracle Whip, laughing cow soft cheese, creamy Soups, etc. Wishing you all continued success with your surgery.
  7. Mrsnate, Thank you for letting us know how it's going with you. Dear sleever, hang in there! We all care about you. Give us a post tomorrow.
  8. Congrats on the surgery---it will get better! :-)
  9. Raven, So sorry you are naustious. It will get better, dear sleever. You are so in my prayers for relief. I did not eat protein my first week. The dr told me not to br concerned about it this week. The hospital served me water, sf Popsicles, tea, and sf jello. I hope they are giving you lots of nausea meds. We are pulling for you. Warm hugs and prayers being rushed you way.
  10. Hello Jimmy, So glad you are under doctors care and in the hospital with the professionals. You have a lot of love from folks who don't even know you---we even had a sort of vigil for you last night. Get better and keep us posted on your progress, friend. We are all pulling and praying for you. Hugs!
  11. I don't know what to think.
  12. I just noticed the "online" word on Jimmy's profile too. Wished someone would respond to us on Jimmy's current condition.
  13. P.s. good luck with your WLS journey!
  14. Gene, I also stopped drinking dt cokes price to surgery--I loved me some dt cokes!!! But post surgery I cn still get some caffeine by drinking tea. My next door neighbor had the sleeve and occasionally drinks carbonated beverages, but I don't recommend it to anyone! Giving up dt cokes was one of the things I told myself I would never do again after surgery because I had an addiction.
  15. You will feel even better when you get home. I started recovering much better from home. Wishing you the best and sending you hugs for your journey home.
  16. Fox bins, When I can cross my legs as you described --- that will be a huge milestone for me. I've dreamed of being able to cross my legs for years.
  17. Nwfoxy, you've come to the rigt place--we are your support system. Please give us some details so we can help you. Date of surgery? Eating habits? Exercise? Progress after sleeve? Etc?
  18. You need to call dr ASAP! And let us know the outcome.
  19. You know what? I've been home from surgery for 6 days and I've refused to weigh myself---first because I am do bloated & 2nd because I don't want to see I've gained weigt. I'm waiting to weigh tomorrow at my dr office for first appt. i know it is exciting to see the numbers on the scale to move but please don't be a slave of the scale & daily weighing! You will lose pounds & inches! As far as your crying and being emotional, I think that's normal. Blessings to you & have a good recovery! Walk & sip!!!
  20. You are adorable and not obese!!! I know about those numbers--- according to national averages & because of my height, I should weigh something like 109# --- but I would look like a skeleton!!!! You look wonderful & I can tell you've worked hard at it!
  21. Lisa's, thanks for your feedback. For a second I thought my dr forgot to put one in!
  22. Prayers & hugs for your Dad!
  23. Welcome Prizzy. You will find the people here friendly, informative and caring. We're glad you joined us.
  24. I was speaking with my sister who will be having the sleeve in July--she asked me about my drain & when it would be removed. I told her that I didn't have a drain at all. The dr didn't put one. Is that unusual? Dr did tell my daughter I had very little bleeding. I hope yours feels better. Have you called your dr office to tell them?
