  2. Mary, bless you for going through this ordeal. You are in my prayers and I'm also sending you warm hugs. Please keep us postedon you progress and dr appt.
  3. Sleeve Buddies- for those of you who are Christian or believe in a higher power, please say a prayer or have Jimmy in your thoughts at exactly 9:00pm Central Time / 10:00pm Eastern / 7:00pm Pacific tonight. I believe we can help Jimmy through this together. Jimmy we care about you and wish you the very best!
  4. Jaymzee- thinking about you on your first day of surgery!! I had pain & nausea too but wanted to walk because I knew that was the kry to healing. Hugs & prayers going your way. Pls keep us posted.
  5. Hey Lolly, I was sleeved May 8th. So far so good. I know about trying to get all the liquids in. My doc told me right before I was wheeled into surgery to not worry about protein this week. So far I eat soup broths, sf jello, water, crystal light --- you know the drill. I'm walking more and more each day, probably up to a couple of miles a day. I don't want to weigh myself just yet; I'm waiting til my doc appt this Wednesday. I've been able to get out of the house each day to run errands or pick up deli soups. I strain the soups, but the different broths are delicious. I'm going to make a tortilla soup tomorrow (of course strained). Starting Thursday I will introduce protein drinks. Do you feel the liquids going down your throat? Wishing your wonderful recovery. Hugs& prayers going your way. Bridgett
  6. I'm wondering if his phone ran out of juice and he doesn't have a charger in the hospital with him. Jimmy, even though we can't reach you---we're praying & pulling for you.
  7. Pls call your doc and report back to us what he / she said about it. Hugs and good thoughts to you today!

  11. 1mary, you are right to go see your dr. Anything that doesn't feel right should be reported to your doc. Please let us know the outcome after your visit. Prayers & hugs going your way.

  13. Thank you for sharing your experience. Dr. Kelly and his crew sound awesome.
  14. Sleevers, I too have been checking this thread all day for some news about Jimmy. I hope we hear from Jimmy soon. More prayers and white light being sent your way, Jimmy.
  15. Stop beating yourself up now. Here are a few things I would suggest in my opinion and if you've done them already, I'm sorry to sound redundant: 1. Sign up with an online tracker today, like my fitness pal or one of the others. 2. Clean your kitchen of any no no foods immediately. Shop for only the foods you are allowed to eat. 3. Pick yourself up by the bootstraps and know you can do this. Find a mentor, partner in this endeavor. And get with a support group ASAP. 4. Make a list of all the things you can do instead of eating the wrong things---includings eating out with friends. 5. You made the decision over a year ago to lose weight---that decision is still in you wanting to come out. You were right to come on this site to ask for help and support. Above all ask your God or Higher Power for guidance. Hugs & blessings sent your way. Remember: today can be your first day!!!
  16. Have you been in touch with your surgeon?

  18. Sending hugs and prayers your way.
  19. No, I think you are on target. That's 10 lbs a month. I was just sleeved this week. But my next door neighbor has lost 52 lbs in 7 months. ..... So you are doing well.
  20. I also slept on my right side while I was in the hospital. I sleep on both sides at night.
