  4. Thanks y'all! Yeah, it was just a stress test, no biggie lol
  5. I have an appointment at 9 tomorrow morning and I'm only 18 and still in high school so my mom likes to go with me to the appointments. She said they are just checking my heart but her and I both don't really know what they are going to do. Has anyone else had this before surgery. What is it like?
  6. YAY!!!! So excited to be approved! Saving the date for June 11 with Dr David Kim!
  7. My surgery is scheduled for April 7th and I'm starting to get cold feet. I'm only 18 and I want this surgery to be successful more than anything, but every time I think about it, I get scared and upset. If im already nervous now, I have no idea how I will react the day of surgery. Has anyone else gone through this before surgery? What helped you overcome the "cold feet"? Also, does being young give me a more advantage and less likely to have problems such as leaks or infections?
  8. that's what I was thinking, but I have no clue what any of that is about lol. I want to be able to tell them at least 3-4 weeks in advanced so when they are asking me to go dress shopping with them I have an excuse lol.
  9. So, here's the deal. I'm extremely excited for my surgery that will happen in early april when I turn 18. I'm slightly embarrassed to tell my friends about it right now because I don't know what they'll think. I plan on telling them later on when the weight is off. I'll be missing my prom because my surgery is 3 days before so I most likely won't be well enough to make it. I know my friends will be asking me why I won't be able to come but I don't want to tell them that I'm having WLS just yet. So, is there any surgeries that are just as severe or even less that is related to (or around) the stomach area that I can tell them that I'm having? I can't think of anything because I don't know a lot about surgeries. Please help! Thank you!
