Pre Op Heart Check Month Before Surgery

I have an appointment at 9 tomorrow morning and I'm only 18 and still in high school so my mom likes to go with me to the appointments. She said they are just checking my heart but her and I both don't really know what they are going to do. Has anyone else had this before surgery. What is it like?

Im 24 and My cardiac consults consisted of an ekg, treadmill stress test, and a heart echocardiogram. Nothing major. Its just procedure for surgery. Tests are like 15 minutes each tops

it is an EKG I would think. They have you undress on top and wear a gown with it open in the front. They they put sticky things on your chest upper like front shoulders, under a breast of them some on your legs and hook wires up to them and then run a machine for about 2-3 minutes and then you are done.
