I went to Dr. Ponce on May 3rd i'm four months post op and my experience was just awesome, he is a very nice and knowledgeable surgeon. Trish did an excellent job of taking care of my husband and I and I consider her a great friend now we still keep in touch. I've lost 71 pounds so far and have about 70 more to go. I would recommend Dr. Ponce to any of my family or friends. INT was a nice cozy hospital and the Lucerna was such a relaxing hotel! I went to dr. Ponce de leon and From what what it sounds INT is very similar to Mi hospital, you also have a choice to go to florence Hospital (where Dr.Kelly operates) At the INT hospital i recieved a cd of my entire surgery from the insides so if there were any questions on what exactly was done i have record of that and the leak test. He was very professional along with his staff. He does speak limited english but my coordinator Trish was amazing she was there everyday with me and went and got food for my hubby made sure he didn't need anything while i was in surgery and she translated great for me. I still keep in contact with her and skype if i have questions for Dr.Ponce. He has trained some of the surgeons in Mexico and has great experience. Everything went so well and pickup at the airport was on time a person was waiting for me at the luggage with a sign that had my name on it. They picked you up in a business economy van there was plenty of room, and drop off was the same. Trish had us out shopping and at the beach the day we went to the lucerna, felt great to get out and walk. She even had someone come to my room the day i was leaving to give me a pedicure and it felt so relaxing right before i had to leave. My sleeve has been perfect for me my incisions have healed great.. it will be 4 months since surgery on Sept. 3rd and i'm down 68 pounds.. good luck in your journey hope this helped... Holly

Good luck wish you a happy surgery day!! I too am a Dr. ponce patient. He was very professional and i felt taken care of the whole time i was there. I loved the nurses at INT and Trish is amazing.. she really does care and it shows all the time even when i'm home we talk at least every month.. i skyped with her the other day too!! I had my surgery May 3rd and am down 62 pounds. Best decision i ever made!!

Doing really great.. down 50lbs.. i can't believe it.. This has by far been the best decision of my life besides meeting my husband!! I really do wish i would've decided this sooner.. but i feel so blessed that i was able to get this surgery. Hope everyone else is doing well!!!!!!!!! Holly

Hi guys..i don't get in here as often as i used to.. so busy in my life right now.. I am doing so great it's been 8 weeks and it seems like it's flown by so fast!!! I've only had one stall for two weeks and now every week the weight is falling off and i couldn't be more happier it's so exciting to see what the next week will bring.. I'm about to break into the 220's and that is so exciting!! I haven't exercised up until this point other than walking.. but i tried out a new excercise program to see if i wanted to buy it.. and i just did.. it's called kettleworkx a hair client of mine told me about it.. and i needed something fun easy and fast to do since i work two jobs and have six kids.. there's no gym in my future LOL It was such a great workout this morning.. my legs feel like jello!!!! But i realized as i'm losing this weight i do NOT want a bunch of extra skin at the end. I don't want to have any other surgery's!! I made a new youtube video.. check it out!! Love this forum it's always been full of great people with good advice...that's my update for now.. wishing you all great success on your journey!! I know i should be smiling in my picture i've attached.. lol.. it was a self portrait.. i guess i'm not that coordinated LOL

I am eight weeks today.. you must've had your surgery may 2nd? There is nothing i can't eat. I was an everyday coffee drinker now i only have coffee on fridays.. because it does give me heartburn but other than that i can tolerate anything and i love my sleeve because i can take a bite of something sweet and be satisfied. I will safe my taste buds really havn't changed. I have had a chocolate dipped strawberry and loved it.. and love the fact i only need one to be satisfied!! I do watch my carbs, fat intake and always get in my protein. I've really been loving fish... been having that for lunch most days.

You will be in great hands!! It's almost been two months since my surgery with Dr. Ponce and i'm loving it.. no complications and 46 pounds down... wishing you a great surgery!!

You will be so happy with Dr. Ponce I went to him May 3rd and loved his team, he is such a caring and talented surgeon.. although i'm like the rest.. i think you couldn't go wrong with him or dr. kelly.. that's who i was always trying to decide between.. and trish is amazing it's nice to have someone there for you when you are there.. that you've already talked to and she made my stay in tijuana effortless and fun!! I agree coordinators should not play games.. i can't beleive she said dr. kelly is a drug user, that would raise such red flags on that coordinator!! If you have any questions feel free to ask!! when can we ever just swallow vitamins.. i'm so tired of chewables and liquid. I just want to be able to take my shaklee multi vitamins which i know are the best vitamins around... but they are bigger than an m&m

I just can't wait till i can say the same thing!! When you are a size 22 you never dream of actually being a size. 8... i just can't wait!! Starting size.. very tight 24s 2x 3x one month later size 22 don't know about tops i still wear the same one's.. need to go garage sale ing

Congrats as well i had my surgery a month ago.. with dr. ponce i love him and his staff excellent.. you will be so happy you are going with him!!!

thanks again for all the great support when i hit my eight week mark i will post more pictures... so cool to actually have a progression..makes all these stalls not so hard because you can see the difference pictures don't lie
