I'm a year post op and still get the giggling and rumbling sounds, it's all normal. Each day it gets better!!

I've been at 75% since around 10 months and I'm 15 pounds from goal and my surgeon told me that my sleeve did its job now it's gonna take hard work and determination to get the rest off. Boy is he right!!! But I can't complain my sleeve took off 102 pounds that I would have never been able to get off otherwise!!!

So yesterday was my 1 year surgiversary!!!! I've lost a total of 102 pounds, went from a size 24 to a size 12!! I still have around 15-20 more pounds to get to goal!! I can't believe how my sleeve has changed my life!!!

It sure sounds like the stabbing pain I felt on the right side when I had my gallbladder removed...They didn't find it through the ct scan or blood work but after going back two days in a row to the ER they finally did what is called a NUK scan..and they found that the gallbladder wasnt releasing the Bial (not sure I spelt that right), but I didn't have stones, it was not functioning properly...and was backing up and giving me the severe pain....So glad I had it removed... Hope everyone had a great Christmas and NEW YEAR'S!!! Yesterday was my 8 month surgiversary and I got on the scale this morning and have lost 3 pounds since the new year and I'm down a Total of 90 pounds!!! WOOHOO!!! The picture below is Tom and I at New Year's in 2009 and then this past one!! Everyone jokes that I lost alot of weight and he lost alot of HAIR!! LOL I wish he would have fixed the hat for this picture..LOL Love him to pieces!!! Kristy

Hello Everyone!!! I am so excited to report that this morning I HIT ONEDERLAND!!! Finally!!!!!!!!!!! Gosh what a great feeling..I could have never done this without the help of my sleeve!!! I am so blessed to have my sleeve!!! LOVING MY NEW LIFE!!!!!For me this has been my biggest goal, thus far...now to get to 150........

Surgery on May 3, 2011 and lost a total of 81 pounds!!

Thankfully I started with a very thick head of hair..But I too have lost alot...my hair is thin now..I also took Biotin and I'm starting to see where the hair is starting to grow back..thank goodness..I'm about 6 months postop and I've noticed that I'm back to the normal amount of hair I would loose when I wash it...

WOW!!! Size 4 you look amazing!!!! Congrats!!!

I have been hearing that from alot of people that they would have guessed me to be smaller then a 16 too!! WOOHOO!!! I can't imagine what I'm going to look like after another 50 pound loss...This is an amazing Journey!!! and so worth it!!!

I am exercising but not as much as I shuold be..Only like 2 times a week, so I know that if I focus, I can continue with great success..Already today I have planned 2 extra protein snacks and gonna really try for 80 ounces of water today...Hoping by Monday to finally hit ONEDERLAND!!!! ONLY 3 pounds to go!!!!

Okay I screwed up my weight today was 202..ugh and I can't figure out how to edit this new VSG website!

Gosh where has the time gone???? It's crazy to think that 6 months ago today, I had the VSG!!! and It's the greatest thing in the WORLD!! I'm down a total of 80 pounds as of today!!! :purplebananna: I'm so close to Onederland and was hoping to be there by today, but hey I'll get there!!! I weighted in today at 203...I started at 282 and since surgery have lost a total of 65 pounds..It has been a struggle the past couple of months, but I knew that would happen. I think that I need to eat more, I don't think that 3 small meals a day is doing enough for me and some days I only drink about 40 ounces of Water..so I'm trying to up both and gonns see if that helps.. I hope everyone else is doing great!!! Thanks for reading!!

I'm in the same boat..I'm gonna be 6 months tomorrow and I'm down 81 pounds..but the past two months I have been struggling to get to Onederland!!! I go anywhere from 205-201..then back to 204..ugh!!! It's frustrating, but I think my problem is I'm not eating enough or drinking enough water..so I think if I concentrate on those things it may help...Best of Luck..this is not an easy Journey by any means...But it is so worth it!!!!

When I went ot him last time I asked for the pill form, he said next time I come in he will give me the pill form..not sure why he wont let me take it..I take my allegra and it's a horse pill, I just break it in half and my singiular is a small tablet..Not sure why, but he is the doctor, so I've just listened to him..But I had never heard of the Barretts before, so I will definately start taking it whether I like it or not. Thanks!!

Hi Everyone, I have a question to those sleevers who are farther out then me..I am almost 6 months out and I still get the severe heartburn/acid reflux, when did it stop for you? I haven't taken the Nexium in a couple months, because I hate the powder Nexium..but the past couple weeks, I thought it was getting better, but nope the past couple days it has hurt so BAD!! I hate it!!! So any advise would be great, I go back to the doctors in 3 weeks and if its not better then I'm demanding that he give me a tablet to take instead of that stinking powder..UGH!! Okay vent over!!! LOL

Boy, does this post fit me like a "T"...I have been fighting with onederland for about a month now too and I'm so close I can taste it!! I'm at 204 and if I could just get these 5 pounds off..UGH!!! I have a very hard time with water too, but Lilmissdiva is right, I need to just DO IT!! and timing myself might be a good thing...I don't drink more then maybe 40 ounces a day, and I know that is bad!!! So I'm taking a stand with you and I CAN DO THIS!!! Thanks for the post!!!

I agree with everyone..Once I hit my 50 pound mark, then people really started commenting..I love it now, no matter where I go I hear OMG have you lost alot of weight..and I smile and say yes I'm down....It's such a great feeling and self esteem booster!!! You will get there just give it time!!
