  6. Wow!! Where has the time gone?? Can't believe it's been 14 months already!! I'm down a total of -106 pounds and I couldn't be happier!! I'm even getting married!!!!! My fiancé and I have been together 8.5 years and we have finally picked a date..10/27/12!!!! I LOVE MY SLEEVE AND MY LIFE!!!! Still have 21 pounds to go to ultimate goal, but I WILL GET THERE!!!!
  7. I also chose the sleeve because I felt it was a safer surgery for me. I was scared to death of the complications associated with the bypass of the intestines. However, I had the sleeve 13.5 months ago and still have 17-23 more pounds to go to get to goal. I had lost 80 pounds in the first six months but have only lost 24 pounds in the last 7.5 months, but it's still coming off but just very slowly!!! My surgeon told me that my sleeve had done its job and the last pounds are going to come off with my hard work, which I'm ok with because I want to get to goal so BAD that it's teaching me to eat right and exercise!! This is a LIFESTYLE CHANGE! I also have experience dumping with the sleeve, which they say can happen with the sleeve just not to often! It was a very scary thing and I hope it never happens again!! Good luck in your decision and make the one that works best for YOU!! This is all about YOU!!!
  8. Girl u look fabulous!! If I remember correctly we had our surgeries around the same time!!! Keep rocking that sleeve!!
  9. I'm 34 and everyone says I look 10 years younger!! Loving it!!!
  10. I'm 13 months postop in the beginning I started at 282, my goal was to lose 132 which would put me at 150. I'm currently 178.. Total lose so far -104 pounds..Still have 28 pounds to get to ultimate goal! I had lost 80 pounds in my first 6 months and the last 7 months I have been a very slow loser. My surgeon told me my next 28 pounds are going to be from hard work and exercise! I did not exercise alot in the first year, but am realizing in order to get to goal I must!!! I do not have loose skin as of yet! Thank god!! But who knows what the next 28 pounds will do!!! I went from a size 24 to a 12 so far. Good luck on your journey!!!

  18. Well my dad had a few issues with surgery, his blood pressure and heart rate went crazy from the 4 different anesthesias and he ended up being in ICU the first night, but he is on a regular floor now and doing good as far as the surgery is concerned, but they have decided not to release him today as planned because his surgeon ( who was also my surgeon and an amazing surgeon) is concerned with his irregular heart rate, so they are sending in the cardiologist again today, please pray that he gets better real quick!! Thanks!!!
  19. Well my dad had some cardio issues from the anesthesia and is spending the night in ICU but he is doing well otherwise!! Please continue to pray! Thanks all!!

I agree with the slowing down I had lost 80 pounds in 6 months and then for the last 6 months have lost only 22 pounds, but I could have never lost 102 pounds without my sleeve! Keep rocking it girl!!!!
