  1. I wonder each and every day that once I get to goal, what the hell am I going to do to stay there. I have been reading the Maintanence thread and they have the same issues, just a different color so to speak. I'm hoping to "learn" from it as they go so that I don't freak out when I am there. But, that being said, I have never been skinny so I don't know what skinny people think like. Maybe they constantly think about how they are going to stay there lol ... who knows.
  2. *does the happy happy, joy joy, dance* Woohoooo that is amazing!
  3. Yeah, the taste sux, but like they said, up your carbs and that will go away. As for the chest pain, its you being full or rather too full. When I pushed my sleeve and ate too much I would get that feeling right in the center of my chest and it would not go away until I digested.
  4. Very very happy for you! Congratulations on your levels going back to where they belong.
  5. I think its a combination of your stomach getting used to being smaller and healing and just in general all around pissed at you lol. The first two weeks my tummy talked to me A LOT! To the point of my hubby looking at me like are you all right. It rumbled when I didn't eat, it rumbled when I did eat . It just seemed to be the course for about two weeks. It still rumbles and makes those gurgling noises sometimes now and I am 4 months out.
  6. I had to quit for 90 days or my doc wouldnt even make an appointment and then they did a carbon test on my blood. Came up positive because I was inhaling second hand smoke from my hubby's cigars. Had to do another 2 weeks later. They didn't do another test after that and I was smoking again from October to April. I did do little sneaky things so that he wouldnt know I was smoking, like showering and washing my clothes right before an office visit. No one said word one that they had any idea. The nurse said that it was up to the docs descretion if he does another one. I am still smoking. I am going to try and quit again after I reach my weight goal minus ten pounds for the notorious weight gain lol. Do I want to? Nope, but I know I should lol .
  7. Thanks, guys! I am staying positive, I am staying active and best of all I am staying alive *que the beegees*
  8. You look so great and the girls look fantastic! Before the boobies, I will want to do the tummy tuck first. Hubby has said I can have what ever I want but to leave the "girls" alone LOL. He likes 'em itty bitty I guess because I am barely a B. You look so great and I am so happy for you. Speedy recovery my friend, speedy recovery.
  9. Sometimes I focus too much on the number on the scale so thanks to LilMissDiva and many more here I started making little goals for myself. Lose a couple of inches here, fit into a specific size there, do more exercises, etc. To date here are my goals met: 1) Now this was the main and most important goal because it is why I did this in the first place. I went from 20pills daily to two. 2) I have gone down 40 inches (chest, arms, waist, hips, thighs) since I started my journey. 3) I am able todo my work out classes and not look at the clock and think will this ever end LOL. Now when it ends I'm like thats it??? 4) At the begining of the Summer I bought some size 10 pants at the thrift store and some large shirts and have been trying them on periodically and as of yesterday they fit perfectly! 5) I went to dinner with a friend Friday night and had a normal meal, and was able to eat like a normal person. She is a size 6/8 ish and very fit, and our meals were relitively the same size and we ate approximately the same amount and we were both full at the same time. Pre-surgery, I would have finished mine and moved on to desert. We both rolled our eyes at the thought of desert! I even had a glass of wine with dinner. 6) My family is getting healthier in the process because my hubby cooks to serve my needs and hardly ever makes rice Pasta and potatoes anymore. I feel great! I look great! And damnit, I am starting to believe that I am great! Haha can you tell I am having a good weekend?
  10. I have read in here on multiple occasions how this is the case. It takes time for your brain to catch up with the body. I have days where I feel sexy and skinny as hell and there are other day's where I just feel like I am just a big ole fatty. Today, I put on my size 12R (target) jeans and they were too big! I was loving that. So I took out an old pair jeans from a few years ago that are a 13/14 juniors and they fit. LOL ugh sizes enough to make you go crazy.
  11. You did it the RIGHT way! You let her steer the conversation toward her weight loss struggles and then asked her, HER opinion on surgery. I'm sure if she had a negative opinion on WLS you would not have said anything but because she was open to it that provided the segway into your story. I think you may have saved that womans life to be honest.
  12. Ok so you can't see it but I'm doing a happy dance for you! Did you run around the room like Rocky with your hands in the air??? Did ya? Huh? Did ya? I know you did!
  13. I'm very disapointed in you Pasquini! Haven't we discussed this before? Hmmmm? Where the heck are the smiles? Sheesh, not like you don't have ANYTHING to smile about, right? LOL You look great, and be still my little heart, love love the vest!
  14. hahaha ok so my real age according to this test is 44.7 my actual age is 44.5
  15. Its always awesome to be told you are georgeous! Congratulations and expect more to come as your Dad said.
  16. Congratulations and good luck!
  17. You made the best choice for your health! Welcome and post away! So many people here want to help and share their own experiences to help others along on their own journey. Good luck!
  18. I hear ya! Patience is a virtue, just not one of mine. I hate the flux that happens but eh whatcha gonna do except watch it and go along for the ride. Well deserved attention I am sure I remember reading when you first started how you would be happy with a woman checking out your butt LOL. Did you make that goal?
  19. I am 5'5 and 44. I have a "big" frame so to speak, size 10 shoes, broad shoulders, big hands LOL. Sometimes I think I should be like 5'9
  20. Our stats are almost identical . How tall are you? My original goal was 140lbs but my doc said with my frame that weight would be too low for me. We'll see how it goes once I get to the 155 mark and how I look and feel.
  21. I love it!! Um Rootman, time for a new belt. but I would keep that one as a trophy though, maybe bronze it like baby shoes or something LOL.
  22. Fan-freaking-tastic!!! Wear them proudly.
  23. I do fitness kickboxing 3x a week if I'm not working late and group power strength training at the gym 2x a week and I walk on Sunday's 2-3 miles. I need to mix it up a little bit though.
