I know I'm late on replying to this topic but yes I had my VSG surgery by Dr. Ben-david on May 2, 2011. He is very serious and straight to the point. He is real good tho. Did you have surgery yet?

OY MY GOSH!!! You look AWESOME!! Way to go!!! You give me hope that I can reach my goal!!!- My Introduction!
Thank you. Don't be sorry though = )..... I'm definitely not! Well days after surgery I was fine but once I was home, I cried alot and I was just going through an adjustment period. I thought to myself, "what did I do to my body?" I was so use to eating the way I did my whole life and this was such a huge change and I learned that as time went on. As weeks passed I felt 100% better! I seen that some people do go through a hard time at first. Also right after the surgery I wanted to eat food. I could remember how everything tasted but it was all in my mind. When time came for me to eat food, It didn't taste as good. I can tell you now without a doubt that I do NOT regret having my surgery. It was the best decision I ever made for me and my family. I LOVE my sleeve!! I know that there is no way I would have even lost this much on my own. I might have been able to lose 60 pounds but I know it would have come back on twice as fast like the past. I have lost so much weight and it just keeps coming off. I did this for my children as well. I do watch what I eat but when I crave something I let myself have a little. My sleeve keeps me in check. The best thing about it is that I don't crave junk food at all. The only time I really crave something is you know when it's that time of month.. lol. But I have a bite or two and that's it. It's great! I love that I don't have to eat such big portions either. I eat a little and I'm satisfied. Sorry for such the long reply.- My Introduction!
WELCOME!! I, too got on the site and just looked around. I finally joined some weeks after finding this site. I found that everyone on here was so helpful because right after I had the sleeve surgery I had a difficult time. I love my sleeve and I know you will too. It doesn't matter how slow you lose because the great thing is that you WILL lose. Congrats on making the best decision for you!- WOO HOO!!! GOAL BABY!
That is amazing!!! Congrats on reaching goal! :bananapartyhat:- My biggest success Post-VSG
AWW!!!! SHE IS SO BEAUTIFUL!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!- This shirt looks 10x better now than it DID then.
You look AWESOME!! Get it girl! I think we had our surgery around the same time. Congrats on how far you've come!- What fitness routine worked best for you?
Hello everyone!!! I've been doing workouts at home because I can't decide what to do. I lift weights, work out on my thigh and bun rocker, and treadmill. Its not giving me the results I really want. I've thought about Zumba, gym membership, and personal trainer. There are so many different exercises you can try but I wanted to know what everyone's daily workout routine was and what worked best for you.- My 11th Month Sleeversary Update
Congratulations on such a huge accomplishment!!! Your story is truly inspiring. I pray for a safe and fast recovery with your upcoming surgery.- From 300+ to Onederland!
OH MY GOODNESS, YOU LOOK FANTASTIC!!! WAY TO GO!!! Your story gives me hope. I was sleeved on 5/2/11 and I was 303 pounds 2 weeks prior to surgery and 293 day of surgery. You give me hope. Now I really do believe I can get to my goal. My goal is 150. Can I ask what your diet and exercise plan is?- 100lbs gone!!!!!
WOW... That is beyond amazing. Congrats on such a successful weight loss. Can I ask what your daily meal plan was?? I had my surgery on May 2nd of this year and Ive lost a total of 40 pounds but only 30lbs since day of surgery. I have found myself stuck for almost a month now and it started when I began eating solids again. I'm starting to workout so I hope this will get my weight loss moving again. I have 110 pounds to go so I have a long road ahead of me. - All I have to say is what a difference a year makes
