White or Dark Chicken?
Like you said with the little amount that we are consuming, at this point I don't think it matters too much. When you stop losing and want to continue, you have the option to start using the leaner part of the bird. Good luck!

Flatout Flat Bread
Hey Guys, I haven't had bread since before my liquid diet started and I just wanted some LOL. So in food Lion, I'm looking at the nutritional value of the many many choices and getting depressed, then I saw FLATOUT FLATBREAD. Here is the nutritional breakdown per slice: 90 Calories (nice size too) 6 Net Carbs 0 Sugar 2.5 grams of fat 9 grams of Protein I got the Light Italian but they had other flavors with about the same nutritional value. I'm thinking this could be used for pizza and cut one up and season to your liking, bake in the oven until crispy and eat with hummus and it was good as a wrap too. The 9 grams of protein is what sold me on it and it didnt' taste bad either. Thought I would share

My Journey Begins
Hope you are recovering well. I had the same question to my docs about losing too much weight pre-op. They told me that for insurance purposes they go by the first day you weigh in and that the more weight you lose the better before surgery because it helps the docs when in surgery and makes your recovery that much easier. Good luck!

Narcissistic, Attention ***** or Justified?
There is nothing wrong with being happy and sharing it with others. For so long we are misreble because of our weight, and now that we are changing things to make our lives better, its almost like we feel guilty. Enjoy the pleasures of the new you. Share your story to who ever will listen, you may just be saving their life or someone in their life that they love!

over eating
In the begining I couldn't gage when to stop and had that feeling, just be mindful of when you START to feel full, you will figure it all out, just takes time, and be careful if you do eat too much, you will throw it back up, happened to me with watermellon, wasn't thinking and just kept eating it and my new tummy said DONE! LOL and I was. Never did that again

holy moly runs!!!!!
Yup, skim milk did it to me almost everytime!

Week 2--What are you having
Full liquids for two weeks, then mushies for two weeks, then softs for one week, then what I could handle after that.
-
tomato soup
I was told to wait til 4 weeks out to have tomatos.
-
how the heck????
In the first two weeks it took me two hours to finish an 11 oz Protein drink and I would sip Water constantly to try and get my liquids in. My doc says that the Protein shakes counts towards your liquid intake too. Some docs differ from what I have read though. It takes some time at this point you really just need to concentrate on staying hydrated. By the end of 3 weeks you should be able to get most if not all in. Good luck!

Should I keep the reservation??
Its different for everyone, at 6 weeks out I was able to eat 1/2 of my prime rib at my sisters wedding with a couple bits of string beans. I would keep it and see how you feel then. You'll be on vacation, enjoy yourself, just be careful, stop when you are full. Have fun!
