  1.    NewVictoria reacted to a gallery image: Three Months Post Op
  2. I did too... Try sleeping propped up on pillows.... That helped keep my reflux under control during the first 3 months.
  3. Today marks seven months post op for me... I rarely post but I wanted to thank all of those who shared their stories, pictures, and words of encouragement to me along the way. Hopefully these pictures will inspire someone else to do the same. I've had my ups and downs on this journey, but at the end of the day, I am happy with my decision to get sleeved. Anyways, On to the pictures!!! Before (250-260 pounds) Leaving Mexicali After (168-175 pounds) Thanks for looking!!!
  4. I usually do soup or an appetizer with water. I focus on the conversation more than eating. Like the above posts, guys rarely notice how much we eat... If he does make a comment then you can either explain that you had surgery or say you're stuffed from earlier.
  5. Even though it isn't Labor Day just yet, I wanted to post that I made it to and even further beyond my goal!!!!!!!!! I'm really looking forward to the next challenge! 6. During this journey, I have actually been avoiding pictures. I'm still working on breaking the "avoid cameras at all costs" mentality. So today, I was looking at some pictures and could actually tell a difference. I almost wanted to slap myself for not taking any body shots.... Anyways, I decided to post them here.... because this is just one of my many victories to come! *** This one is me somewhere between 250-245lbs*** ****This one is me Two Months Post-Op at 209lbs****
  7. I'm one month and a week out & doing well.... My tastes have definitely changed post-op especially since I've developed a new intolerance to almost all milk products. I'm still working on getting all my protein in every day because I can only get it from food sources... BUT I've managed to lose 35lbs! *happy dance*

  11. Mini-update- Sugery went well. I slept most of yesterday... & was up & down all night peeing (i have IV fluids. The doctor will be doing a leak test today and afterwards I'll be able to have clear liquids. So far I'm having a really good experience! I'll probably be writing a full post in another forum soon, so be on the lookout for that and good luck to you all!!!
  12. Good Morning July Firecrackers!!! I made it to Mexico safely... Yesterday, I had pre-op testing, which didn't take long at all AND there's another sleever here with me!!! So I'll either be first or second, depending on who the doctor chooses first. I still have those last moment jitters.... I sure as soon as my mom & I pray they'll go away. Everyone has been so nice, caring, and seem very experienced. I believe I'm in good hands.... I'm glad I finally had the guts to DO it instead of talking, wishing, and failing at a million other methods before.... Anyways, I'll be back post-op to give a more detailed post! Simply_KiZmet
  13. Thanks for telling about your experiences. I'm getting ready to head to Mexico in less than two weeks ..... & Im very nervous. No one knows about this except my mom & my aunt (they are helping me pay for the procedure)..... I look forward to hearing more about your journey!!!
