  1. Well I'm so glad that I'm not alone ... Lol I was sleeved on 8/30/11. My start weight was 225 and I am now 160. I am 5'6" and my goal weight is 137. I use My Fitness Pal and believe it or not - I have not cheated once since my surgery. I have not gone over 600 cal a day ( my doctors orders) and my protein is at 70 and carbs are unde 20 a day and that is from veggies and salad. I have not had even a crumb of bread or a cracker. I work out 5 times a week for 1 hour a day sometimes more. I stalled at 160 lbs 3 weeks ago BUT I go up 2 lbs one day and back down 2 lbs the next ! I can't get past the 160 mark and I am getting really depressed about it. I have less than 25 lbs to go and feel like I am going to fail :-( I'm Praying to God that this is not the end......
  2. Hi everyone . I am 11 days post op and have list 17 lbs already. My diabetes seams to be gone (so far) and I feel totally Blessed to have been able to receive this gift !! I went back to work after 7 days and that may have not been the best thing for my physical self but it was very good for my mental health. I started with the depression within the first 5 days. Felt like I lost my best friend ( food) And just couldn't get happy. Since I love my job and have the greatest people to work with , I am now feeling like a million dollars now. I have only posted a few ttimes but every time I feel down I pick up my IPhone and read this forum... You all have helped me and don't even know it ! Thank You !!!!
  3. Hi everyone :-) I am day five since my surgery and curious about what antibiotics are safe to take now? I know they must be crushed but is there a list some where out in the big WWW. Com that tells us what is safe? I found I have a UTI from the foley catheter and I have antibiotics that can be crushed but not sure if it could cause a problem. I wouldn't think it would since I was given Morphine to take every 4 hours crushed up. I can't imigain that being safe and an antibiotic not. Does anyone have some ideas. Thanks :-)
  4. Thanks , it's great to be a looser :-) As a matter of fact today is day 5 and I just got on the scale and I am down 11 lbs ! It would normally take me 3-4 months to loose 11 lbs. And yes I am starting to feel better. Thanks for the encouragement :-)
  5. I had my surgery on Tuesday 8/30/11 and I got to say I had so much pain afterwards. I have a bad back and think that was the reason for my pain being a constant 10! Don't get me wrong it was worth it but OMG I did not think I would be that uncomfortable. The hospital and my surgeon were the best and did everything to help my pain. I came home on day 3 but I should have stayed 1 more day. It was very hard to get up from my bed without the trapeze bar they had over my bed . But as of now I am feeling so much better. As for being hungry, I'm not :-) The Protein drinks fill me up so fast and I am making sure to drink my 64oz minimum Fluid. Since I went in the hospital 8/30/11 I have not taken or needed my diabetes medication !!!! My sugar has not gone over 130. That is a God sent to me. I also got on the scale and already have lost 8 lbs. I am so excited to start this new life . Antoinette
