  1. I am very happy for you, I know it is a big decision, but I do think you made the best choice!
  2. Good job Crystal! Now, we'll do the happy dance when you get that good grade in accounting!
  3. Great! I hit one too, and finally I am starting to move again. While you are not seeing the scale move, you will usually lose inches, so remember that you are still losing. Good luck!
  4. Way to go Alex! It won't be long till you'll be running a long time!
  5. I agree Crystal! Thanks Kelly, it's nice to see it all together like this.
  6. A "BIG" welcome from Texas! Hope to see you posting often!
  7. I felt discouraged after my first fill too, I thought I would get some restriction then, but didn't feel any different from before I went. Hang in there, it will get better. The main this to concentrate on right now is getting your protein in first. You can do this!
  8. I can feel mine, but only when I lay down on my back and feel for it.
  9. I'm glad to hear you are back to normal, you are doing great with you band!
  10. Welcome! You are doing great! Thanks for the ideas too!
  11. Take it slow for a few days, I usually have a little swelling and then once it goes away some of the restriction leaves too.
  12. Hey easy or not, I hope you did great!
  13. Welcome Nita! We have several people on this board going to Dr. Spivak, sounds like you will be in good hands.
  14. Welcome to LBT! Don't worry about what size you are today, think about the future which has lots of hopes and dreams just waiting for you. Good luck and keep us posted. While waiting, browse through all the older and new posts here and you will gain lots of valuable information.
  15. Welcome to bandland! Take it easy for a few days!

Paula you look beautiful! You need to wear more outfits like that one!
  17. We went Harley riding Saturday, we went over to spend my gift certificate that I won. We had to get up on some of the big highways, so that meant going fast. Well, lately my Harley shirts have gotten pretty loose on me, but since they are so expensive, I keep wearing them. Well, we were riding up on Loop 12, and my shirt started coming up my back. I used my cb radio and told my hubby my shirt was coming up my back, and he ask if I wanted to stop, and I said no, I don't think it will hurt for someone to see my back a little. Well, the next thing I knew my shirt was up to my neck, (front and back) and the only thing that was holding it on at all was my arms Now, I used my radio to call and tell him yes, I needed to stop because I was showing everything I had to everyone! One guy was actually flashing his lights at me! My DH said "Don't worry, you have on a black bra and it looks like a sport bra, so just relax till we can find an exit" Yeah right! Anyway, we finally got to an exit and pulled off and needless to say I tucked my shirt in my pants! I have never been one to wear my shirt tucked in, but I certainly wore it that way the rest of the time we were riding.
  18. Good luck and please keep us posted. Beautiful picture too!
  19. I agree, then if you still have problems, maybe you need to have a tiny bit unfilled.
  20. I am down 4 pounds this week!
  21. Mine wasn't bad either, and I agree with Leatha, the more walking you do the faster you feel better.
  22. Way to go Janie! Isn't the band wonderful?
  23. Congrats Leatha on your house! I bet you are happy, I know how much you wanted your own place.
  24. Each person seems to heal differently. I would say no longer than 2 weeks, but maybe sooner if you heal faster. My doctor told me I could ride my Harley after 2 weeks, so fishing and golfing is definately in that range. Just go by how you are feeling, if you are up to it, give it a try. Get your food/drinks in now before you go so you won't have to worry about it when you come home. Use a heating pad for any gas pains in the shoulder and don't forget that walking helps more than anything else does. Showers only until you totally heal up (no baths or swimming pool) Good luck with your surgery and post when you can and let us know how you did.
  25. Good for you Darcey! It's always nice to have someone notice you have lost weight.
