  1. Happy birthday to both of you! May you get everything you wish for and then some!
  2. Good Luck Michelle! Have a safe trip!
  3. Find a good wine, it has no carbination in it, but remember it does have calories. There are quite a few drinks I enjoy that are non carbonated. I have drank a couple of beers since banding and had no problems at all, I just drink slowly. Have fun this weekend!
  4. Good luck Heather, it sounds like a few of the gals here will have the same problem. I saw on one the threads that some of his patients are going to a Dr. Kelly Fitzpatrick, you might check her out.
  5. There are a few gals on here that bought stock a while back. You might do a search on it.
  6. A "great big" hug to you! I really don't have any advice, but I am a believer that "everything happens for a reason." Just come here and let us help you through this. I am so sorry you had to cancel you trip, I know you must have really been looking forward to it. I am sure you will find a new fill doctor, maybe some of the gals that have been going to him has already found a new one. I know there was some kind of discussion on here about him. Good luck! Please keep up posted!
  7. Welcome to bandland Allen, and welcome to LBT! We are glad you came out and posted with us. Looking forward to seeing you post some more!
  8. Mike, sorry to see you leave! If I can do anything to help you, please feel free to pm me!
  9. Whooo Hoooo! I remember how excited I was when I found out I could get my surgery! I am excited for you now!
  10. Welcome to bandland Kim! The gas pains will leave soon, just keep walking and if you need to use a heating pad for pain. The more walking you do the better the pains get. Good luck and glad to have you aboard!
  11. Welcome to bandland! Don't worry, it gets better every day!
  12. Awww, sorry to hear you had a hard time. Take it easy, get some rest and keep sipping the liquids. It might take you a few days, but you will feel better soon!
  13. Cool site! Thanks for sharing it with us!
  14. Welcome to bandland Keri! It gets better with each day!
  15. I did the cabbage soup diet, the first week was easy, then coming home and my whole house smelled like it, it got old fast! I don't think I will ever forget that one!
  16. I was really concerned with this too before banding. We have great neighbors and we are always getting together and having a party. I can eat everything, just in smaller portions. It doesn't bother me at all, because I get full on the smaller portions. I guess if I didn't get satisfied, then it would bother me, but just because I can't eat as much as I used to doesn't bother me at all anymore. We go out for dinner all the time, and I usually order something different from my DH, sometimes I order a full meal, other times I order something smaller. My DH usually eats what I don't eat, and if I want a bite or two of his, he doesn't mind at all. It works out just fine.
  17. It is different for everyone, so it is hard to give you a certain food list. I can eat anything, I haven't had any trouble with anything at all. I have been very lucky! Some people can't eat eggs, chicken, steak, rice, potaotes etc. I would suggest that you try it, if it doesn't work the first time, wait a few weeks and try it again. If it doesn't work the second time then I would put it on you don't use list. Don't be afraid to try all foods, you will never know unless you try it.
  18. I in no way meant that a dog could even begin to compare with the loss of a child. They are two separate things entirely! But people do get really attached to their pet. Lots of people don't have children, and they do think of their pets as their children. I had both children and pets, and let me tell you that when I lost a pet, I felt like I lost a member of my family. I am sure there are a lot of other people on this board that would feel the same way!
  19. I usually bring left overs or I bring chicken/beef strips on a salad. Congrats on the new job!
  20. a mosquito has bitten you? I had one bite me in my belly button. It itches so bad and I look crazy walking around scratching it!
