  1. It is only normal for you to feel the way you do, after all, you are going through major surgery. I can only say I am totally happy with my band, and I would do it again in a minute. Good luck, and keep us posted!
  2. Tricia - You have done an amazing job with your band even with all the problems. Thank you for your thread, I think it will wake a lot of us up! Good Luck!
  3. Welcome to bandland, and to LBT! Glad to have you aboard!
  4. Whoooo Hooooo! I am so happy for you! Congrats!
  5. I would wait to see if the insurance will cover it too. Capitol One will always approve you again, and that certainly would be a lot of money saved.
  6. Cindy you are right, I was having trouble with the site. Pat - I was trying everything with my puter too, especially since I have been having problems anyway!
  7. Hi Y'all! Been working around the house, then DH and I went and did a little shopping for bedrails. Not fun shopping:cry I got back on track with the eating today! I will probably have sugar withdrawals for a week now! I have ate so much junk these last two weeks, I feel like I am going to explode! So today I have been extremely good! Cindy - I envy you, I wish I could just retire! I feel like I am starting over again! Ann - That is a lot of work! Take it easy now! Sherry - I would say something to her too, without DH knowing about it. I would tell her how hurt he is every year! It seems like a lot of families have one like that! My ex's mother did that to him too, and we did everything for her. Odd how they threat the person that helps them most the worst! Jan - Good weight loss! Hang in there, it gets easier. Pat - How is that new car? How many miles have you put on now? Eileen - Raining again? I sent you some sunshine! Hope you get back on track today too! Your encouragement help me! Thanks! I got up this morning with my hip hurting, feels like a pinched nerve in there. I hope it goes away soon, I have things to do and places to go! lol
  8. Welcome to bandland and LBT! Glad to have you here!
  9. A friend sent me this.. thought you might get a chuckle out of it.... 'Twas the month after Christmas, and all through the house, nothing would fit me, not even a blouse; The Cookies I'd nibbled, the eggnog I'd taste, at the holiday parties had gone to my waist; When I got on the scales there arose such a number! When I walked to the store (less a walk than a lumber), I'd remember the marvelous meals I'd prepared, The gravies and sauces and beef nicely rared; The wine and the rum balls; the bread and the cheese, and the way I'd never said, "No thank you, please." As I dressed myself in my husband's old shirt, and prepared once again to do battle with dirt, I said to myself, as only I can, "You can't spend a winter disguised as a man!" So, away with the last of the sour cream dip. Get rid of the fruit cake, every cracker and chip. Every last bit of food that I like must be banished, 'til all the additional ounces have vanished. I won't have a cookie--not even a lick. I'll want only to chew on a long celery stick. I won't have hot biscuits, or corn bread, or pie, I'll munch on a carrot and quietly cry. I'm hungry, I'm lonesome, and life is a bore, But isn't that what January is for? Unable to giggle, no longer a riot. Happy New Year to all and to all a good diet! Have a great day!
  10. Yes, I had to buy smaller shoes too! They shrunk both in length and width.
  11. Happy Birthday! Hope you have a great one!
  12. Hi Y'all! Been MIA, my computer has been down, and I am still having problems with it! I lost everything for the time being, DB is going to try to get it back, I am really keeping my fingers crossed. All my stuff just gone! Sickening! We had a big party at the neighbors house last night, tons of food (all the wrong kinds too) and drinks. I had some of each, but no hang over today. In fact I ended up taking down all the decorations and cleaning. It was so funny, one of the girls threw a guy in the cold pool last night because he had too much to drink and was mouthing off! We were all laughing! Cindy - My pot of blackeyed peas is cooking now, and I am frying some cabbage too~ Cabbage is for money! I think I better eat a bunch of both this year! Loved the Santa you sent Pat! How cute! Pat - Your new car sounds beautiful! Post us a picture huh? How did that GS of yours enjoy his Christmas this year? Anne - Welcome! Nice to see you here! JQ - It sounds like you have it all figured out! Good luck! Eileen - It seems so funny that you are shoveling snow, it is 82 here today! We just got home from riding. I'll send a litte sunshine your way! Beanie - Hope you are have a good rest, after all that studying you certainly could use it. Have a great day! Patty - When are you coming home? How did the dessert go? Zan - Hope you had a good new year's. Ivan - Happy holidays to you too! Well, going to try to post this before I lose it! I don't know how long this computer will stay running right now. Got to check my cabbage too!
  13. I got the flu last year after being banded for two months. I threw up real bad, but only once. It didn't hurt my band, but I did go to the doctor and get some flu medication. I even had a flu shot too!
  14. You know she can feel alot better in a day!:eek
  15. Iluvharleys replied to Road Queen's topic in The Lounge
Awwww, I know this is a rough day for you! You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Hugs!
  16. Nice bike! I don't know how you ride without a windshield! Doesn't the bugs get you? We were riding down the interstate one time and a truck was in front of us, he was carrying plaster and a big piece came off and hit my DH's windshield! It was lucky he had one! Get that windshield, you'll be glad you did! Oh yeah, and a big comfy seat makes a world of difference on a trip! Randy - Nice bike! I like riding the curves and hills, I used to hate it but I think seat time makes a big difference!
  17. I'm glad to hear you got the problem taken care of. I hope you start feeling better soon. Get some rest and heal up!
  18. Welcome to bandland! Remember to sip slowly, you are still swollen from the surgery.
  19. That is the good thing about the band, it is there waiting for you when you are ready to work with it. Good luck!
  20. My doctor doesn't use floro at all.
  21. I can feel mine, but it doesn't stick out. You can't see it at all.
  22. Most people really don't lose when they are too tight anyway. When you have to do the soft foods to eat anything, then you defeat the cause of the band and still don't lose.
  23. Doodle is my nickname, it was taken so I had Bdodle instead. It was the closest thing I could come to with them.
