  1. Fever, rapid pulse and stomach pain are a few symptons. Every Doc is different I was already on mushies at day 10 but no crackers
  2. Every Doc is different, I was on mushies by day 8. Go figure...they should all get together on the diets. Try adding some unflav Protein in to the soups. i've read where taking a PPi will stop the false hunger you feel, also it does take awhile for the g-hormone to get out of your system. Good Luck
  3. I feel your pain!!!!!! I love chocolate too and have grandkids that want it so I have to put it away from site in a cabinet with their names on the ziplock baggie. I won't eat it that way. Good Luck!
  4. Good Luck with your surgery, you sound like you have it all "together" in your head. My Dr is in Houston with a 11,000.00 cash price but still I can see the savings by going to Mexico. Keep us posted!
  5. I had to go to the other room post op to get away from the smells but sadly my DH refuses to eat diet/healthy. I cook his meals like he has always ate them, cornbread..fried pork chops..gravy..oh yeah and homemade biscuits on the weekend. UGH!! It doesen't bother me unless it's invovlves chocolate then I simply hide it and throw it out or I WILL eat that.lol
  6. You'll do it!!!! You're doing great! The further out you get the slower the weight changes but it DOES change!!
  7. I would lower my calories, up the exercise and keep the fluids going in, remember cream Soups are liquid and flow right through so stick with dense Protein. The sleeve will work, yor body is in shock still. Goos Luck!
  8. Congrats on the anniversary, you were a inspiration to me from the beginning!! I totally agree no 20 lb gain for me. I think maintaing for me is being aware of staying on the program and satying away from chocolate!!! My taste didn't change I still love it...darn it! Just can't keep any in the house unless it's for grandkids and I won't eat theirs.lol
  9. I can't believe it's been a year already, what a great year too!! I wanted to lose 80 lbs as my original goal and have lost 75. The sleeve has been amazing and for once in my life I feel good about myself. I try to walk everyday and know it is the key( for me anyway) to maintaining. I have revised my goal to 75lbs because I am happy here, knowing I look healthy. My highest weight as 255 and now is 180. My jeans went from 18 to 12's and tops went from 2x to lg. It's so funny I live in a rural area with 3 red lights. I was the first sleever and now there are 4 of us. We outnumber the redlights in town.lol I am battling a kidney stone but I had stones before WLS so I'll just be glad to see it gone. I hope everyone is having a great weekend!!!
  10. I snack too!! Honestly it soumds like you are making healthy snack choices with rice cakes. I have a few almonds, beef Jerky or 100 calorie snack. I figure if I exercise it all evens out.
  11. Well congrats on the surgery and the 10lbs in a week!!!!!!!! The 64 oz of water a day is so nesessary for weight loss. Remember your body is in shock and wondering what the heck happened! Give it time the weight WILL come off, there is no failing if you are following the program and it sounds like you are. For me -just when I would think "crap, no weight loss this week" the scale would drop 2-3 lbsHang in there, It's going to be ok!
  12. Thanks, other than UTI for last months I have no symptons, so thankful for that! You look like you're smokin the sleeve, congrats!
  13. Well tomorrow is my anniversary and I love all I have accomplished with the sleeve, I am healthier and happier but the Doctor just called and I have a kidney stone, prayers please. I have to have the lithotriptsy treatment as soon as possible.
  14. Early out I felt emptiness, but it wasn't hunger as we know it pre-op. This Friday will be my one yr and I never feel hunger, I do have apples and 100 calories Snacks around if I want something and I DO stay on program 95 % of the time but I consider myself in maintaince. I probably should lose down to have a bounce back cushion but really am happy right where I am! I love my sleeve!
  15. Congrats on the surgery!!! Don't force the food just do what you can and it will get better, are you on a PPI?
  16. Wow! down 127 lbs! you have done amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. The sleeve is still there for you, you can get back on track. I'm praying for you and your husbands job stability!
  18. YES!!! I relly enjoyed them the first week out, it was like a treat!
  19. I started losing mine @ 2 months out, I stopped losing hair after 6 months out and at 12 months out it is thickening back up and starting to look healthier. It is a small trade off to be thin Take your vitamins, hit your protein counts. You can make it!!! You probably have 2 more months of shedding then it'll be over. I never stopped coloring my hair but I did cut it shorter to make it look healthier.
  20. Hello? Are any of April 2010 sleevers around? Are you doing ok? Have you achieved goal?
  21. You look awesome!! Great that they found the disorder!
  22. You're not alone, we are here for you!! The sleeve is a wonderful tool and it does help that it is easier to recover from. My daughter had the RNY 7 months before I had the sleeve. She has done well but has had a couple of faining episodes, UTI's and ulcer like symptons. The RNY wasn't for me because I wanted a functioning stomach tho it is a small one Your SO needs to realize you have health needs and support you and your girls sound wonderful! WLS doesen't always brin out the best in friendships, don't let it get to you, do this for yourself and then they'll come around r not but either way you'll be a happier, healthier you!
  23. I made my own too and also used egg drop suop strained. I used alot actually close to 20 oz a day along with sf pops and special k Protein Water.I didnt have any problem getting in liquids and loved the unflavored whey in the broth too!!
  24. I agree with Becca, it's up to your surgeon. Just talk to him about it.
