I have 8 days full clears and then 21 days mushies...I swear I have been looking at mushies recipes and drooling.lol:lol0:

I forget to sip and take bigger drinks and it's ok, no pain, I burp and all is well, is that normal? I keep trying for small but forget.

I'm still in clear liquids but I haven't thrown up once, no nausea what so ever, I worried about spasms and didn't have those either and am glad I didn't they sounded bad, It is hard to get in the 64 oz daily because it's so important to stay hydrated but I write down every oz.lol Your going to be fine,ask for the meds to help with the pain/nausea and it'll be over before you know it.:lol0: Carla

My surgery was 3 days ago in Houston and the pain isn't as bad as you imagine, just use the pain meds to make you comfortable and get past the first 12 hours. I was walking within 2 hrs and made 3 rounds everyone is different but your goning to be fine.Carla:thumbup:

Goodlife, are you feeling like you are past the worst part yet? I haven't had to take any gas x but I burp ALOT and my incisions are itchy. I can take bigger sips than before also. just wondering.Carla:confused1:

My daughter had RNY and she was not supportive at first but she already has a ulcer so I think the sleeve speaks for itself , she is totally behind me now. I was afraid of losing a part of me..to never get it back until I saw a post where Tiffy said "Why would you want it back anyway?" I can tell you I have had 3 major abdominal surgeries and this one was a piece of cake.Carla

I made my own with chicken,carrots and celery,it was much more flavorful but after 3 days I am already tired of it.lol:bored0::frown1:

I have been burping like crazy too, must be the gas but I haven't really had the gas pains, not a ladylike way to burp is there?lol

Thanks for all the encouraging words, I have to say the pain was'nt as bad as I expected and the liquids are going down good. I made my own broth with veggies and chicken so it's tasty for now.lol The Doctor's PA suggested Won Ton Soup or Onion soup from Chinese resrurants and it was really delish. my surgery is in two days with Dr. Robert Marvin. He is in Houston, he is the surgeon that operated on the teen in Houston..The Brandon Story on TLC. My daughter used Hadar Spivak and he is good too but he does perfer the RNY to the sleeve. Carla

my daughter had blue cross and it took 2-3 weeks, they called insurance and knew that way before the Dr. did. waiting is the pitts...hope you get good news soon. Carla

Oh yes, I agree with the emotions being fraigle and that is why it took me by suprize it.. HURT:confused1: my feelings but it's ok he is going to be suprized next year and on op of everything else, he had me on Evista and refused to give me the script like I was going to fill it against his wishes, I'm reasonably intelligent and have stopped my meds(for RA) like the surgeon said..all he had to say was here's your script, wait and see if you need it before filling. Fab by fifty hit the nail on the head, we are grown women and we know our bodies, I'm tired of being obese,self conscious, I want to live to see my grandchildren marry and dance a jig at the wedding.lol. 4 more days, guess I need to get my ticker up...excited,scared. Thanks Krystal, I's scared and excited, met with the surgeon today, they didn't even want money up front which is strange, I kept asking what I needed to pay.lol

Since my surgery is next week, I went to my well woman checkup to get it out of the way...My Dr. I've used 10 yrs amazed me with a lecture how I should do this with diet and exercise..willpower he says.:mad0:He left the room not happy with me said surgery won't help RA. I was so bummed out, thought of changing gynco but then will wait one yr so he can see how great I'll be. BTW he is skinny so what does he know. 6 days till surgery, wondering how bad pain is on scale of 1-10? Carla:scared0:
