Sunday I start my pre-op diet. I don't need to start that early but I'm doing so good I don't want to do too much of that "last meal syndrome" stuff. Nothing wrong with going in as healthy as I can either! Gosh I just may be back at goal before surgery... lol

Getting back off the sugar is the best thing I've done for myself. Never going back!! I'm on the right road again. Today is day 11 Sugar Free.

I'm right there with you - gave up sugar just before Christmas, and I'm dropping the regain and suddenly my goal weight seems reachable again. I feel so much better, I'm back to wearing my cute clothes again, and the treats in the break room are less tempting these days. It was hard to get here, but it's so worth it!

Lil is diva Irene. Glad you posted that. It reminds me that those "little bites" of sweets does effect my cravings for carbs. I ate too many sweets for Easter. I actually got sick cause I had not eaten much sweets since the surgery. And yes those first few days of reducing carbs/sweets can be hell. But it does pass and the cravings go,away.

@Cupcake, I can't blame you. I really want skin removal and I will probably do the same thing! Haha

@CowgirlJane I am doing fine. I have had several surgeries not related to WLS and on top of that had to have my sleeve revised to the Bypass because the GERD was literally killing me. But since then I have been good, except I have to stay more diligent with my vitamins and supplements. As long as I'm doing that, I'm doing good! I am a little above my goal but as I always do I am working on me. My next adventure will be TAKING MY FINAL STEPS! To get skin removal. I am hoping that can happen soon. Xx

LilMissDiva Irene besides having Rny this has been the best decision I have ever made with all of the weight lost and my Tummytuck with muscle repair has allowed me to become a gym nut. I workout 6 days a week for 70 minutes a day . I have received so many compliments and encouragement from friends and strangers . Who would have ever thought I could feel so good. Going from a size 32-36 pants to a 8-10 has been unbelievable . I am thinking about a breast lift now but don't know for sure but I do see it in my future in about another year .

What are you thankful for today?

There will be some people whose jealousy will be apparent even though they try to mask it. We just have to shrug it off and keep living for ourselves. <3

I am learning and experiencing the same thing, people who I thought of a friends now see me as a threat and I am still the same person and still have 88 pounds to loose, some of them have even started making excuses as to why we are not hanging out anymore and some have gained excessive amount of weight and look at me like I am crazy for going to the gym 5 days a week. I am just going to stay focus on my healthy and do me.

I am currently working on a revision from VSG to Rny Gastric Bypass. The reason is because I have extreme GERD and is causing me a lot of misery and dangerous issues, and I'd like to avoid esophageal cancer at all costs. Please keep me in your prayers, thank you.

What can you do today to make yourself feel beautiful?
-
Life without Reflux is nice. Life with the Bypass is wonderful.
-
3 more working days until my revision from sleeve to bypass. Wow... that's so crazy!
-
The best part about being a normal size is not the great vast clothes you can fit into but how you fit into them.

Wednesday is the big day. I'm sure it will be a lot of fun!
-
The good news is. the longer you are in the WLS community, the easier it is to ignore inflammatory posts and people.

@Jim1967 that is only partially true for myself. I've been around since 2007 and though I started here with LBT then over the years I have branched out to Facebook or Instagram more. I do still come here occasionally and mostly chat with the very new folks looking for support or newly operated. I don't divulge conversation in the Lounge and especially R&Rs. I am solely here for support while remembering we were all new at one time.

Day 26 without sugar. The spell is broken and wish this for everyone.
-
When you lose weight, you gain confidence. Do not be embarrassed of this! It is okay to feel good about ourselves and our accomplishments.
-
@proudgrammy that's right! Reflux is history

Day 16 Sugar Free! I'm over the hump to the 30th day and then it's to infinity and beyond!
-
Happy New Year! May your 2015 be full of hope, promise and good health.
-
Always speak victory in your journey! Work hard and never lose faith and you WILL make it happen.
-
Do you find you have more energy post op than you did before surgery?
-
3 Weeks post op. I see my surgeon tomorrow regarding the pain I'm having. Hoping all is okay with me - otherwise everything else is going great!!!
-
Today I am sugar free 40 days! It will end on Saturday tho because we are having a special occasion. But I can only sample one treat 1" by 1". ;o) Then it's back on plan!

You haven't failed until you give up. You'll never fail if you never give up.
