  2. Hi! I'm just north of Sac near Rocklin. I'm pre-op too and would love to have a friend on the journey! Are you kaiser?
  3. After you have the test and decide if you want them just make sure they put them under the muscle. This is the best way to still be able to see your mammogram. It doesn't interfere with the actual breast tissue. I'm a nurse at a plastic surgery center. Pm me if you have anymore questions I can help with.
  4. Awwww thank you @@abordenster for checking in on me! It went well. He didn't ask me about any sugar issues but I do have one! Lol I definitely want the sleeve though. He told me I need to lose 13 lbs and I am really struggling with it. I am eating better, trying to drink my water, not snacking in between meals and I've only lost 2 lbs! I'm trying not to get discouraged but it's hard. I only have a certain amount of time to get my surgery done because I start back to school in November. He said it should be fine but if I can't lose the weight I can't move forward with any of the other appts. Sorry rant over, just feeling frustrated. I'll keep ya posted. Thanks again for thinking about me! ❤️
  5. We are at the same stage! I have kaiser so I've been to info class, the "meet the surgeon" meeting, and the consult. Next week I have my nutrition class and support group. As soon as I can lose my required weight I'm scheduling!!!! I can't wait to get this over with and get on with my life!! LOL! Anyway I'm here if you want to talk!

  9. Yes! Just keep doing what you're doing and follow the program. You've already lost 30# in 1 month you can do another 50 in 2 months no problem! Good luck you got this!!!!

  13. My husband didn't want me to do it either. He is always very supportive but this scared him. I had to ask him to trust me on this. I wouldn't undergo this major surgery if I hadn't done TONS of research and feel comfortable with it. I'm not going to put myself in a situation I feel is damaging to me. I know it's a risk but so is leaving my house. There is a long term goal in mind here that has many more benefits than risks. In the end, it's your body and you have to make the choice. Make the right one for YOU. Good luck!
  14. Do we have the same mom?!?! Lol my mom has done this to me time and time again. I completely understand how hurt you are. If you need to talk let me know. I've been going through this for years with my mother. The one person you are supposed to be able to trust in this world...I'm very sorry this happened to you.
  15. Thank you abordenter! Yes I have so many questions. This site has helped so much! I have my consult with the surgeon on Tuesday. Any advice?
  16. How did your orientation? Did they tell you how much you had to lose to go forward with the surgery? No I see the surgeon for the consult on the 22nd and he will tell me then. I hope it's not a lot. I've done SO much research and have 3 friends who have had the bypass surgery, and I really feel mentally ready. So excited! Do you know if he'll give me a list of all the things I need to do beforehand? Like blood work, mammogram, etc.?

  18. It's called a circumferential abdominalplasty. The Plastic Surgery Center in Sacramento is AMAZING!!!!!! They will not make a vertical incision down your stomach. Dr. Green or Dr. Yamahata are my recommendations. Let me know if you have any questions! Good luck! ????
  19. Hi Runnerkellie I am in Roseville too and going through Kaiser South Sac! How is your journey going? Did you have your surgery yet? If so how long did the whole process take? I've been to the info seminar and now I have my orientation tomorrow. So excited!!!!!!
  20. I have my orientation tomorrow in South Sac. Any advice or suggestions? I want this whole process to go as fast as it can because I go back to school full time in November. I hope I can get it done and recover by then ????
