  1. Lately BP has intermittently not let me login. It also doesn't send me an email to change my password......I KNOW my password and dont need to change it, but I don't know what else to do at that point. I am magically logged in now again but its annoying to have to uninstall the app and reinstall it multiple times just to login.
  2. Im starting out as 24/26......I cant wait to be a regular large. Congratulations!
  3. Ok, I am pretty fresh out of surgery (March 17th) but I have PCOS and got my lapband removed, sleeve, and hiatal hernia repair on the same day. Easy recovery so far. I have a lot of the same concerns as you but I have lost 20lbs in 10 days. (SW 284) I know a lot is water up front initially, but I also know some of that is fat! Lol. Im super happy about my number right now and even when it slows down I know its working! Get used to cutting carbs and upping protein as much as possible, I wish I had done more pre-op. Best of luck to you!
  4. I just got revised to a sleeve March 17th and I have had a really easy recovery so far. I also had a hiatal hernia repair at the same time. No nausea, easy to drink, little pain. Give yourself a week of intensive caring for yourself and lots of rest, but unless you are lifting over 20lbs at work I think it is totally possible. I don't currently work outside of my kids at home but I felt fine after maybe day 5??? Good luck!
  5. I just got sleeved, so I cant answer your question but can you please tell me how that happened to you? I was under the impression that your stomach scars itself permanently shut on the staples. Did they tell you what/how it happened?
  6. If someone is too pathetic to help you when you are obviously suffering, then they have no place saying anything about what their mate looks like. They are wastes of time.....and oxygen
  7. Wow. I am really sorry about your situation. IMO you hit the nail on the head. Good call on his selfish nonsense.
  8. Ok thanks. I actually love soup, but dont know where to find decent non-restaurant or non-decadent home made chunky stuff. I will check it out!
  9. Is this a shake or a powder? Flavored?
  10. Ok....I am BORED of Campbell's cheap little cans of creamy soup and broth. Besides that is there ANYTHING NOT SWEET that anyone has tried on the full liquid phase post op? Im REALLY sick of all sweets. 4 days until puree but I licked my daughters chicken nugget sauce today. I need a flavor intervention. Thanks!
  11. I had my first follow up appointment today at my 10 day mark and lost 20 pounds since my surgery! I didn't really do much pre-op so I know its a lot of water weight, but seeing that number was awesome! So shocked. I was actually debating on wether or not to look at the scale for my weigh in but I am so glad I did.
  12. Thanks everyone! The opinions on Genepro are so polarized its interesting. I think I will use it, assume its 20g instead of 30g and when I am allowed to eat meat, be grateful for not being stuck drinking any shakes!
  13. Thanks Pam! I can't wait until I can barely eat lol. I am so afraid that I will be the one that it doesn't work for. I am grateful for the many people who post similarly themed experiences or feelings. I really feel like Im going crazy as far as believing what I am feeling right now but hearing its "normal" is comforting.
  14. Lol....forgive my laughing but DITTO....got rid of scale so haven't weighed myself yet but day 1 after surgery was 3 lbs. Im 7 days out.....sooo hungry. And sick of liquids. Hope its only the head hunger everyone's telling me it is, because my head wants to eat a block of cheese and a jar of peanut butter. Hope it gets better soon for us.
  15. Im still on week one liquids. I don't know why Im not sick or unable to drink like so many other people. I am hungry. I get 60-90g of protein depending on what protein shake (Atkins, Premier, Muscle Milk, Genepro) I use. I'm taking my prescription antacids and do not feel nauseated. Im telling you I am hungry. I get "full" or not hungry from my soup or shake, but I am so hungry when Im cooking for the family, or when I smell food or see it on TV.....all the standard hungry triggering. And my stomach feels empty in between shakes. Theres no satisfaction at any table or overeating. I feel hungry! I feel like Im going crazy and I am being told up isn't really up and down isn't really down. Did anyone feel this way and get over it?
  16. Ok, I heard about GENEPRO from this site. I have been using it post op but not long enough to have a real opinion on how good it is (even though it is pretty good dissolving into anything and tasteless) BUT I have been seeing posts saying it is not actually the amount of protein it claims. Besides that, has anyone ever heard or have any actual evidence that it is unsafe or dangerous to use? I appreciate any fact based information (not really interested in information about the amount of protein being misrepresented although I understand that is not ideal for people counting protein grams) Thank you!
  17. Question for OP, did your doctor say there was anything harmful with using Genepro or just the discrepancy with the protein amount? I have been using it post op and never heard of it before this site. I might not buy it again but if you or anyone has heard it is dangerous I might be more inclined to stop using now. My team hasn't heard of it and just told me the generic "watch your carbs with protein" answer.
  18. Omg!!!! So sorry about your situation! It sounds like you fell off a mountain. Uuummm.....maybe it will make you less hungry during the rough first month???? Granted you are in for a long rough period due to your injuries. Wow, God bless you and I hope you feel better and have good pain meds. Who cares about weight right now. Heal!
  19. Im on day 5 and soooo hungry. And boooored of sweet stuff. Trying strained soups but most taste disgusting to me. I have another week and some change before pureed food. Never thought I would be dying for eggsalad and cottage cheese.
  20. Im drinking it. No issues. I add flavorless protein powder to it.
  21. I think it is super helpful that the self righteous out there say no. Never. Impossible. Not me. Im awesome!!!!!........Ugh....anyways, I was making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for the kids a couple days ago and licked the jelly off the knife. It dawned on me what I had done and immediately tried to rinse out my mouth with water like some cartoon character that ate hot sauce. A sight to behold, let me tell you. I totally understand what you did. Its more force of habit than conscious eating. We need to be on high alert status whenever we are near food. Be careful!
  22. Nose gets a little runny, I notice that I am sighing or taking long breath....sounds weird but it is what it is
  23. I feel pretty hungry, not unbearable, but still.....I have even dreamt about eating! My stomach feels empty and protein shakes and strained soups since surgery are not doing it for me. I wont eat because I don't want to die...lol....but seriously.....but I am kind of irritated that this is an issue. Anyone else feel this and or when does the hunger stop??? Im also taking prescription antacids. Ugh.
