  1. You are looking great!!! You go girl;)
  2. Good luck to you as well:)
  3. Thanks:) My app went great! Now is crunch time to get everything done before we can submit to insurance. I think this 3 months is gonna fly by.
  4. I thought this day would never come, today is finally my first appointment. I'm hoping within the next 3 months I will be sleeved:)
  5. You look awesome! Very inspiring:)
  6. I don't recommend taking it for a long period of time. I have on and off for the last 5 years and now have problems from taking it. If you can do it without please do so.
  7. It's not the cost of the of flying that I'm concerned with, just the fact that if urgent care is needed my doctor is states away!
  8. I'm from Indiana and found a doctor that I would like to go with in Texas. I'm worried about the long distant in the future for follow up appointments. I do have an appointment with a bariatric center next week near my home town but I'm still unsure about it. So any of you who have traveled for a doctor- Was it worth it or do you wish you would have found one closer?
  9. Wow! Now this is one of the best before and after pics, you look amazing! Awesome job:)
  10. I just checked with my insurance specialist at work and my amthem plan doesn't require a wait. Team Bariatric requires a 3 month process, I'm starting mine Aug. 7th! I can't wait:) Which doctor do you see there?
  11. I have not been sleeved yet but I often sit and think about how much different my food choices are going to be at home for me and my family after being sleeved. I not only want to eat healthier and smaller portions but I want them to as well. I think its so important to teach kids while they are young not to overeat and the make healthy food choices. (married and mother of 2 boys 9&3) I try to cook healthy meals and my kids eat veggies and fruits like they should but they also eat junk on occasion when I start eating terrible again after another failed diet attempt. I have noticed that my kid's appetites are getting bigger and I haven't been telling them no on seconds. They see Mom getting more food and they want more too. It is fact that your kids do pick up your habits and do what they see and what they are taught. I just recently took my 9 year old in for a check up and he is about 5-10 lbs overweight, the doctor says that nothing he can't grow into and did seem to be worried about it. I almost broke down crying... I thought to myself what are you teaching these kids? My son the last couple months has been self conscious about the way he looks, he made a comment about how he was getting fat. I can tell his weight is starting to bother him more and more. I am just so ashamed of what kind of habits I have been teaching my kids and I refuse to let them follow my path. My weight has been bothering me more and more and is now affecting my children so that why I have decided on WLS. So from now on my entire family is going to start a new path... Smaller portions, healthier choices, and exercise! I am so excited about this new path, it may be bumpy at first but I know we will make together one step at a time:) So be sure to remember as you are changing your habits don't forget about those loved ones that may need a little help with changing theirs as well. This sleeve I believe is going to help me be the person I have always wanted to be but most importantly I think it's going to help me be the wife and mother I need to be!

Does he do the single incision thur the belly button?
  13. I'm having trouble finding a doctor that doesn't take 3-6 months. I have anthem insuance and meet all the requirements. I went to a seminar in Goshen and received a call and they would like for me to do 6 months there before they will decide because my BMI is 40.1. Who is your doctor? I'm from Warsaw area so Ft Wayne, Elkhart, and Goshen are not to far.
  14. I just went to a seminar there!
  15. I haven't been sleeved yet but I have had 2 c-sections and both times I weighted in 10-20lbs more after surgery. Everyone is different and I tend to swell badly for about 2-3 weeks after surgery. So you not the only one that goes thur this and in a couple weeks you will get in the scale and have a 20lbs loss because you swelling will go down. Good luck:)
  16. I'm trying to find a doctor that accepts Anthem. I'm from Indiana but would travel! All the place here have a policy of 3-6 months or longer! No doctors will just take my insurance and do it! There are a few requirements but nothing that could be done with the month.

Anyone know of any places that take Anthem Insurance but does not require a 3-6 month waiting period? Originally the place I was going said 3 months and now it's 6 months and I found out today that my insurance does not require any certain length of time, there is a check list and I meet all the criteria!!! I'm from Indiana but would travel to get it done sooner! I so desperate I was looking into self pay options! Lol
  18. Thought or experiences with this doctor? Narrowing down my search!
  19. I hope all goes well for you!
  20. I just found out that I may have to wait 6 months when I originally thought it was 3. I'm really depressed about it. That will put me doing it next year and will cost alot more having to meet my deductible again. I've been looking into self pay in the US options now! Just don't know what to do.
  21. I think I may have found my doctor!!! If anyone can tell me any information I would greatly appreciate it!
  22. Thinking about Dr. Borland can I can't figure out how to PM any of you! Lol. Was there a long waiting list and what do they require you to do before surgery? Also are you expected to go back for any follow up appointments? Also if someone could fill me in on the PM thing! Thanks:)
