  1. Thank you all for the great feedback. Sounds like I won't have time to be worried about it, since it'll be over as soon as it starts! Cool.
  2. Yikes, I just realized I posted this question is the wrong group...isn't a success story (yet!) Sorry.
  3. Can anyone tell me what being under anesthesia is like? Ive never had any kind of surgery, nor have I been 'put under' before so I'm curious to know! Of course I realize I'll be unconscious, BUT do you remember or feel anything at all? And does it kick in immediately and you just fall asleep?
  4. Thank you, ladies! The more responses the better. I thought it would be way more than what you gals are saying ($20,000+) so this is a relief! Getting the surgery is becoming more and more realistic!
  5. Who has had their surgery in the states and done self-pay? Just found out my insurance doesnt cover the procedure, but I still want to have it done. How much did it cost overall AND was it worth it?
  6. "2 eggs in a sock tacked to a wall" SOOOO FUNNY. Hahahaha
  7. Hi there! I'm totally new to the wls/vsg world, my hospital visit is next Tuesday. I'm wondering if anyone's surgery has been covered by First Heath Network (aka Coventry Health Care)...I know the only 'real' was to find out is to apply, but I'm scared about getting my hopes up just to be denied. Anyone else have Coventry/First Health? Thanks
