This made me laugh so hard i had to hold my side!!
I agree everyone has their own personal reason for telling the truth or not telling. If you have experience any kind of judgement before about weight you have learned it is better to keep your mouth shut because thouse that learn the personal surgery you have often want to chime in at every moment they can on what you eat and how you look. I rather have the people i love know and the people I dont love dont need to know..

Some times you just need to take a bite of the food you are craving. What i do is measure a small amount of that food that i just want to try again. Then I immeidately put the rest away or dare i say put it in the garabage disposal.
Perfect example, I made waffle's this morning for my daughter and her friend. It is the type that is made out of hearts and form a circle. I broke off a piece chewed it and then realized "This waffle that was so good in my past tasted good. But it wasnt that "Fabulas"... but i had an awe ha moment.. The rest went down the garbage disposal.

Had my surgery in April 2013 and my life is unrecognisable from then until now. My mind is unrecognisable never mind my body, lol. I am happy and nothing in life is a problem...
Luckily for me that's what keeps me smiling when an acquaintance repeatedly tells mutual friends she is just waiting for me to "pile the weight back on".
Hell will be freezing over before I give her the satisfaction of seeing me gain a pound. But what a sad life she must have if taking pleasure in waiting for someone to fail is the highlight of her life.
The old me would have fretted about whether she might have a point. The new me says "feck her". And if she ever says it to my face, that's the gist of what I will say to her. Not very sophisticated - but I think it would be very effective in shutting her up once and for all!

It is when your Doctor put saline solution into your port of the lapband to make it tighter around your stomach. If you are lucky the Dr will use a florescope to do the fills and double check how tight the band is. If you are not lucky your docotr will stab you with a needle and blindly add saline hoping it is the right adjustment.
I got to the point where I insisited the fills were done with the help of a radioloist site. That is how I found out my lapband leaked.
Some people are very lucky and dont have leaks in their lapbands.

First forgive yourself, then get moving! Get out of the house, change the enviroment and change your attitude from I cant to I can.
Girl,set small goals, 5 lbs goals at a time, give your self rewards that are not centered around food but around your new life!!

After 5 weeks you life will begain to get easier. Start walking, invest in a fitbit like the nmjg said. Another thing since the weather has changed is to go swimming. What ever you do, move. Remember you had a lifestyle change so dont let your mind talk you out of getting the best that life has to offer you after you got your sleeve. Be encouraged your energy will improve with every step you take, ya just gotta take one!

I'm not quite 7 months out and am down 92 lb.s It's a myth that revision folks don't lose much or don't lose quickly. Best of luck to you,Kim

Beef Jerky and 1 oz nut packs are easy to carry. For meals, pretty much any sandwich will be fine and every place has them, just don't eat the bread. I like to roll up my sandwich filling in the lettuce (if there is lettuce on the sandwich). I bet if you asked for the sandwich "protein style" in a lettuce wrap instead of on bread, they would be happy to accommodate. Have fun!

Hey paul, I am 50+ and have lost 65 lbs almost 4 months out.. I take this journey serriously as my 2nd chance at life and count it as just that a new journey for me and my health. Take what your doctor tells you and follow it to a tee. Get your self moving now before surgery will be a blessing to ya too!
PS.. Congrats on your up and coming surgery!

Cant i just have an all over fat transfer done to the parts i need extra fat back.ie: the girls. lol

this is your life, dont second guess you health.. Call your doctor and have him paged, then take you precious self to see him.

Hi Paul, I lost my weight in my late 40s, in maintenance now. It is very doable, follow the sleeve rules, eat small portions, focus on Protein and veggies, become active. You can do it!

Run, Run Run.. when a doctors office shows you this kind of treatment after all you have been through I would say it is time to find another practice, get better professional treatment. You are worth all the time and effort you take to change your life you dont need to be subjected to this.

I had the lapband for 5 years and had complications with it. I have had the sleeve since January so I am today 4 months out!!
I am so Thankful for this wonderful tool, a healthier lifestyle and the ability to say goodbye to 61 pounds.

Wow this is very intersting post. I would never have thought of you MISS Diva as vain, you have always been so kind and helpful to all of us on this WLS journey. But if the side effect of loving your self from the inside out is what we are guilty of.. Then I raise my hand and say hell ya!
I am finding my strenght back from hidding behind the fat robe as i call it.. It is nice to hear and i finally did that my hubby thinks I am hot! That is a nice and wonderful experince to be honest!
