  1. Everyday I felt better. Pain was less each day and even though uncomfortable the first three days, walking up and down my hall at home helped. I tried to hold my belly because it seemed it hurt when it moved.... Sounds kinda crazy when I write it ...LOL This is a great forum to read for answers!!!
  2. I have no problem taking my meds. A small sip of water first then pills with a drink of water. Good luck!
  3. I hope you feel great accomplishment... It is so very hard at first. I have a friend that said she misses her going to get icecream friend when I said I didnt want to go. I said I would go, I just wont eat anything... Keep up the great decisions!!!
  4. That had to be so scary... So sorry you had such difficulties. My surgeon gave me his and his wife's cell phone numbers. They are always available if I ever have an emergency. I hope you are on the mend....

  6. Timo... Be careful... If you ride your bike often and are comfortable and confident on it, try... No off roads or bumpy roads. Just remember any sudden jerks will NOT feel good. We use our core to steady ourselves... You will be sore.. I think it is wonderful you have your son to help and support you. Enjoy the beach...

  8. I have read other entries that seem that what gets stuck is different for each person. I think when I eat something I should not be eating (even one or two) it does seem like my guilt makes it get stuck???? I dont know... I am still trying new textures.. Best luck in your journey
  9. Last minute nervous get to many of us, well I was very nervous. You have done an amazing job already. Having that same desire to acheive your goal will keep you on the right track. I prayed a lot.... still do. I believe it was like a new beginning for me!!! Stay positive!!!
  10. I got a fitbit.... its a pedometer that tracks everything its self! A little exspensive, but there are many different pedometers that you can get! Best of luck!
  11. Everyday will be better. Gas pain was gone by 4th or 5th day. I was amazed that I had no appetite!!! As we breath in our diaphram moves and that causes pain at the repair site. I am 4 weeks post op and still can get a random twing of discomfort in that area. Try to stay positive.
  12. At ten days post op I was still in need of a little rest, so I wouldnt want to be somewhere for an entire day without an oppurtunity to relax. A few hours would be great! I guess it all up to how intense the activity will be... Best luck to you!
  13. I have found the more solid the food the fuller I fill quickly. I could drinks shakes and mushy food allday long, but I try to keep serving size to one cup at a time.... Be careful not to over do it!
