New band, weight gain?

I was banded Thursday, and had a 1 week pre-op liquid diet prior. I did not do a " last meal" and stuck to the diet . My question is, if I literally not had a solid thing to eat in a week, protein shakes, soups and water. Is it normal to have gained weight ? I weighed in Thursday at 191, and 2 days later I am at 192. Could this just be bloat weight? I'm confused?

Hormonal cycle by any chance?? It can cause water retention in the second half of the cycle..

Yes that can happen. You could be retaining Fluid for whatever reason. Hang in there, it will come off.

Your weight will go up and down most likely because of Water retention throughout your journey. If getting on the scale daily is too much for you (and it is for some people) then don't do it. Just weigh yourself weekly or every third day or .... Don't stay off the scale. Find the happy medium for yourself. Best wishes on your journey!

I reacted to a lot of sodium in the soups.... Once I limited my sodium I saw a difference!!!

Keep positive!
