Starting this journey over a year ago at 391 never would I have thought I could be 25 pounds away from 200 my goal weight !!!! So close I can taste it

Going from a 4x fitting tight to an XL from a name brand store is blowing my mind

Today is the day I hit 188 on the scale I have lost 100 pounds I really cant believe I was ever that big. And I still get shocked at my own reflection:) Love my sleeve

I chose surgery because I was tired of merely existing and wanted to live, feel good about myself and be able to enjoy life with my three kids. I was on blood pressure meds and cholesterol was getting out of control. I'm 3 1/2 weeks post op and I'm glad to be able to enjoy going to gym again even if it's only for 30 minutes, I can go to the park and play with my youngest child and not be out of breath.

Look at the bright side: you lost 30 lbs in three weeks! That is amazing. Our body needs time to adjust, I'm only 16days out and my body is starting to look funny too, losing from where I shouldn't and staying the same where i should be losing. I am grateful for this surgery, I do not have to take my blood pressure meds no more and my BP is normal.
I know my clothes are not fitting the way they should be and just like you I don't have money to go and get me new clothes. What I do have on hand is a sewing machine to alter the pieces that are worth altering and going to the Goodwill store to get me some basic items with the money I am saving from my meds!
Hang in there, look for a support group, find the positive in this experience. There is no turning back now so make the best of it. Good luck!

Stepped on the scale today and saw the 150 pounds I had set for goal Was sleeved just under 8 months ago on 10/25/12. I'm 5'4" and HW was 230+ and 80 pounds later at 150. Went from 18/20 jeans/xl tops to 8-10 jeans and medium tops. As much of a physical change that you can see there was 10 times the mental and emotional change. I'm no longer afraid to be seen in public, I can put on an outfit without changing 15 times then deciding to not go anyways, I will go places alone and not have to have a pack of people with me to hide behind, and I can find clothes that fit at a regular store, I can be around cute fit skinny people and hold my head high and not feel like crawling under a rock, and I'm out being active and having FUN!!! So thankful for this amazing surgery and for getting my life back.

For those of you who have been sleeved this month already, how much have you lost total, and how much of that was since surgery?
I got on the scale an hour ago. I have lost 20 LBS SO FAR!!!! 13 of that has been since surgery on the 5th. I dont feel a change in my yoga pants, so I was shocked!
Soooo? How about you? Lets give the rest of the June-bees something to REALLY look forward to!

I first got on the scale 2-3 days after surgery. I couldn't resist! Much to my surprise I had GAINED 4 lbs. What the heck??!!? I got on the scale again today, 8 days post-op, and am down 13lbs! I go tomorrow for my first post-op with the surgeon, so we'll see what their scale says.

Today (June 12), is my day! Just ready to go to the clinic. Very nervous!! Wish me luck dear June Sleevers!

so day 5, still having some issues with drinking Protein, Premier Protein is the only one I can seem to keep in. Have now eaten half a container of greek yogurt, and tummy is rumbling but ok. Been drinking fluids ok today. Still some bathroom issues. I went grocery shopping, walked dog around block 3 times. And went and got my 6 year old grand daughter for some company. So I would say I am doing great! Can cough and move today without discomfort:). WE CAN ROCK THIS PEOPLE:)

I have this feeling in my chest that comes & goes ALL day. The doc says thats the top of ur stomach where the surgery was being done. Um I dont like that feeling. Anyway, besided that im doing pretty good...up fixin my own broths, tkin my showers alone, walkin around, im ok. Im ready 2 get out of this house & atleast jus RIDE lol How is everybody else doing?

I was sleeved June 5th no gas pain and tolerable incision pain. The only thing that kept me up last night/this morning was my arms had this burning pain. Feeling much better. How are you all doing with your liquid intake ? I don't seem to have room in my new stomach!

My breasts and chest got really red, almost purple. I thought I was bruised because of something during surgery but it died down after about day 3. The nurse thought it was weird and called the doctor but it turns out it wasn't a big deal.

I was today. Just very sleepy and a lttle sore. My doc and the hospiral staff are fantastic!

Yes, I did. My forearms and my chest both got very hot to the touch and were red. I showed it to the doctor and he explained it like this: "You had most your stomach cut out, and your body just figured that out. Now it's ramping up the metabolism to try and figure out where your stomach went and how to fix this." hehe
Basically I just kept an eye on my body temp and took my temp frequently. As long as I wasn't running a fever, I was told to let it play its course.
