7 Months Post Op- Before & After Pics
I guess that's why you're bed's so messy! :-P Congratulations on having so much success with the weight loss and with the boyfriend. You're looking incredibly hot. Keep pimpin that sleeve! P.S. Next time, please, less bed, more bun shots! Thank you. :-P

beginner question
I think the best workout routine is one you can stick with. As long as you're moving and trying to improve, you're doin good! Keep pimpin that sleeve!

Popsicles ?!
My doctor didn't require it. I hadn't eaten anything in the previous 72 hours, so there wasn't much chance of that happening! My doc likes bowel sounds so much - he bought the album!

Fiber ~ need ideas
I haven't measured my fiber intake, but I do eat a lot of re-fried beans and I add psyllium (from Walmart) to my food concoctions. I also eat cauliflower (instead of mashed potatoes) that's been run through the food processor. A 1 lb bag only has about 100 calories, add a little brown gravy and I think it tastes better than mashed potatoes

To much protein?
Yes, too much protein can be a bad thing for your kidneys - if you're not drinking enough water. If you're lifting weights and not seeing weight loss, try keeping track of body measurements. You may be replacing fat with muscle.

Popsicles ?!
My doc gave them to me right after surgery.

Confused now.....
I chose the sleeve over banding after talking with 3 sleevers and watching a friend get the band. All 3 sleevers had lost a lot weight and kept it off for a year and counting. And it cured their hunger pangs and cravings. I lost those as well. I only have to watch out for my ingrained habit of eating when bored. My friend with the band lost over 100 lbs and was still over 100 lbs overweight, and found ways to get around the band and regained about 50 lbs. At 3 years out, he's had all kinds of problems with his band - from slippage to scarring on his stomach from band irritation.

Post Op Protein Shake and Calorie
My 1st week was Clear liquids like chicken broth, sugar free Jell-O and sugar free popsicles. 2nd week was full liquids, meaning only basic Protein drinks and creamy Soups and yogurt - no bananas or anything that had lumps or bits and pieces. 3 week was pureed foods. I wouldn't worry about the calories, it was a real effort just to eat anything the 1st week and by the 2nd week, I was only finishing 1/2 can of Cream of Mushroom Soup each day. But I was slowly able to each more each week.

had my 2 pieces of candy today
Ok, you got me and spoiled my fun. I was all prepared to call you a blasphemer and burn you as a witch!

Post op liquid
1 week clear liquids, but I could have sugar free Jell-O and sugar free popsicles. 2nd week full liquids. 3rd week purees.

When you finally feel you might die....... time.
I was at that same point in my life when I decided on surgery back in December. I even wanted a DNR on file in case something went wrong on the table. If it wasn't going to work, I didn't want to wake up. Good luck. This surgery is a life changer - for the better. It gave me the control over food I've never had.

Seeing food you cant have
Sorry to hear that. I am single and live alone, so I can't imagine what you're going through. Well, maybe a little. I still go to the buffets with a friend on the weekends. And if I find something that really tastes good, I miss being able to eat a whole lot of it. But I try to put a positive spin on it and think, "Ha ha, you can't make me over eat you!"

Vitamins - Morning or Evening?
I take my vitamins and B-12 in the mornings. If I take them after 4pm, I have a hard time falling asleep. I read that B-12 is best absorbed in liquid form, usually sub-lingual - hold it under your tongue. Swallowing B-12 destroys some of its benefits.

How do you handle…
Just ask them to have a Costco lunch. You know, where you go to Sam's club or Costco and eat all the free samples till you're full! Or you can beg off saying you were traumatized as a child after finding a paw in your happy meal!

Where does weight go?
Sounds like a bunch of big city talk mumbo jumbo to me. Back in reality land, we know where it goes. You slip the fat under your pillow and the fat fairy leaves you a dollar for each pound. I'm still waiting to get paid! So far that bi*ch owes me 70 bucks!

Confession Time: The Spaghetti Monster Almost Got ME!
Yep, I can eat bananas, but at the time I didn't know that I wanted a banana - till I walked past it. Then the banana threw a craving on me! I think it was a voodoo banana or something. P.S. I like bananas, but for some reason, they cause my stomach to grumble - not that it stops me from eating them. :-P

Lying about Weight Loss Surgery !
Sure there is, you're on it. The sleeve isn't a weight loss diet. It's the cutting back on calories that causes the weight loss. If I could live on 600 calories a day, and not suffer the hunger pangs and mental cravings, I would have. And I probably could have lost 30 pounds the 1st month. It just wasn't a life style I could live with long term.

Walking a lot....how much is a lot
I was walking 2 to 3 laps around the hospital floor and my nurses seem happy with that. They marked me as "compliant" on my chart in the "walking" box. :-P Any more than 3 laps and I'd get nauseous and feel worse.

100% Whey Protein - Unflavored - GNC
Trust me, it has a flavor! And I didn't like it. But when mixed with food, I don't notice it. I sometimes put 2 big scoops of whey protein isolate in with a can of refried beans and add that mixture to my taco chicken recipe.

Lying about Weight Loss Surgery !
I don't tell because I don't feel it's any of their business to know anything about my personal life. I think most people around me only want to know things about "how you're feeling" or "what the kids are up to" just to have something to talk about or gossip about later. However, if I hear someone talking about getting WLS and I think my experience will help them, privately, I pull them aside and let them know I've had it and that they can ask me anything that will help them decide if it's right for them.

100% Whey Protein - Unflavored - GNC
No, I don't believe you are messing up your diet. He probably meant that it was for weight loss in the sense that it is a low carb food and wouldn't spike your blood sugar - as long as there's no added sugars in the Protein mix. If you are tracking your calories, then be sure to add the calories from the whey protein as well.

Sleep Apnea
If you don't NEED the machine to sleep well, then you don't have to wear the mask. I got to the point where I was waking up dozens of times an hour because my throat would collapse and without the air pressure from the CPAP machine, I couldn't breathe in. So in my case, I can't sleep without it.

Sleep Apnea
No, there's an app for that! LMFAO
