Updated - Really Cool Recipe - Make Spaghetti Noodles from Chicken Meat
I haven't tried it yet, I've got too much food already prepared for the next few days. I may try making it on Friday or Saturday. I wish I had found something like this a long time ago, when I was doing Atkins.

How did you not lose you jobs?
I work in an education related business. We get the same days off as the schools. I had my surgery done during the Xmas vacation days. But I could have done it over Spring Break. I had all my tests done and was in surgery all within 3 weeks. I only took 1 day off for the initial testing.

OMG Carb Free (!) Pasta (Chicken)
The original recipe page does not load for me, so I had to use Google cache to get the recipe off Rachael's site. Watch the video, use this link: http://www.rachaelra...ta-al-pomodoro/ Rocco DiSpirito's Pasta al Pomodoro Aired on: April 1, 2013 Before: 17 grams of fat 840 calories After: 6 grams of fat 133 calories Ingredients 3/4 cup cold Water 2 tablespoons egg powder 6 ounces cold chicken breast, cut into 1 inch chunks 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil 7 cloves garlic, sliced thin 1 pinch red chili flakes (pepperoncino) 2 cups whole fresh ready to burst ripe tomatoes, cut into large dice Salt and fresh ground pepper to taste 1 ounce Parmigiano-Reggiano, freshly grated 16 leaves of fresh basil, torn by hand into small pieces Yields: 4 Preparation Boil 4 quarts of water in a large pot. Once the water is boiling add 2 tablespoons of salt. Preheat broiler. Place the water and the egg white powder in the beaker of a blender, and blend on low speed until all the powder has dissolved, then add the chicken breast and blend on high speed until smooth and glossy. Place the contents of the blender into a squeeze bottle and set in the refrigerator. Pour the olive oil into a large nonstick sauté pan and then lay out the garlic slices in one even layer over the top of the pan. Place the pan over medium to high heat and cook the garlic until it begins to brown, then move the pan to the middle rack of the oven under the broiler to continue to brown the top of the garlic, about 1 minute. Place the pan back on the stove and add red chili flakes and half the basil leaves, cook for 15 seconds and then add the tomatoes. Cook the tomatoes over medium heat until the sauce comes to a simmer and let cook until the sauce has slightly thickened but still loose, about 2 minutes. Add half of the cheese and stir it completely into the sauce and turn off the stove and season lightly with salt and fresh ground black pepper. Turn the boiling water down to low heat and squeeze the chicken mixture out of the squeeze bottle in a steady stream into the boiling water into strands the same length as spaghetti, about 10 inches until there is no more room on the surface of the water. Let the noodles cook for 30 seconds then remove them with a strainer or spider, set them aside in a bowl and repeat until all of the chicken mixture is used. Add the noodles to the pan and turn the heat to medium high heat. Toss the pasta to coat evenly with a heat resistant rubber spatula and cook until the sauce begins to cling to the noodles. Add the remaining basil and check seasoning. Plate the pasta on four separate plates and sprinkle with remaining cheese. Tip: Use a store-bought, fat free, no added sugar marinara sauce and you can make this meal in less then 10 minutes. Per Serving: 133 calories, 6.17g fat (2g sat, 3g mono, 1g poly), 6.25mg cholesterol, 114.75mg sodium, 4.575g carbohydrates, 1.1g Fiber, 13.05g Protein

Congrats, you are looking HOT! But the down side is, with a slimmer neck, you're more vulnerable to vampire bites!

Can't lose weight with exercise?
Thanks for posting this. I know about that temptation to splurge and overeat after a workout. Although I knew the workout really didn't burn a thousand calories, I wanted to reward myself for making the effort.

unflavored protein powder
I have tried Isopure and it has no taste. I put in everything from Crystal Light to my re-fried Beans, but I've only bought it online. I figure by the time I spend $6 bucks on gas and 2 hours driving to GNC, waiting in line and getting back home, it's just easier to buy it online. Nature's Best Isopure Unflavored (Zero Carb), 3-Pound Tub w/free shipping

Balance? And Falling!
I don't think you're alone. I've been off balance a few times and have stumbled a few times, but I just wrote it off to not paying attention. But maybe I'm going through the same thing.

Is It Just Me...
I think it's kinda like buying a car. You suddenly start noticing how many other people are driving the same model you have. On the other hand, I work with 50 women, and most conversations I overhear are centered around food, Desserts, and what was for dinner last night. And the occasional tidbit about sex! That's when my ninja skills kick in and I go into stealth mode! It never fails to amaze me how a 300 lb guy can blend into the background and disappear in front of their eyes.

How often do you weigh yourself
I weigh daily, once when I get up, again before and after a pee, again before and after a poop, when I get home in the evening after work. NO! I'm not obsessing. I just have a boring life.

Heat/ sweating soo much
I try to take it as a positive - getting cold easily. It's only my hands and feet at the moment - still too much "insulation" on my stomach and thighs. I am looking forward to shivering like a Chihuahua on too much caffeine!

Post-Op 14 Days - Puree Diet
I've found that I like them for another reason as well - I don't have to worry about eating too fast and taking 1 bite too many. I know that 1 container full is all my stomach will hold in one meal.

I thought after the sleeve i wouldnt have to be an odsessive freaked out diet person any more ... 4 week out ... Was I dreaming?
My first guess is that your muscles are replacing the depleted glycogen stores - since it sounds like you've been on a low carb diet for the past few weeks. Your body stores 4oz of Water for every 1oz of glycogen stored. I had the same thing happen to me over the weekend. I was trying to break my stall, ate 2 high carb meals over the weekend (some mac and cheese and some potatoes) and woke up on Monday 2 pounds heavier. Now it's Friday and I've been back on my normal diet, been walking every day. And I've lost the 2 lbs and almost 2 more on top of that.

NSV - and a ticket!
You probably could have gotten out of the ticket if you would have said (in a husky voice), "Here, let me show you my scars." And start unbuttoning your blouse.

How To explain away my scars?
Cool, I'll tell'em I was knifed by an exotic dancer in TJ.

Getting sleeved in April...is any one from Texas on this site?
Another Texan here. I watched dozens of hours of Youtube videos from sleevers and RNY patients, read tons of testimonials, forum posts and blogs. Even got to talk to 3 people that had gone through sleeve surgery. No matter how much reassurance people give you, there's always the lingering doubt that I'm the one that it won't work on. I had to go through it to understand how much it improved my life. No more hunger pangs, cravings, I can walk away from sweets, I don't gorge myself at the buffet, I don't feel the need to hoard food, and I am not always planning my next meal. I had NEVER had any type of surgery before this - 46 years and never been in a hospital. I couldn't even pick a tattoo that I wanted permanently on me! So it took a lot of determination to make that 1st phone call to my insurance company to find out the process of qualifying for bariatric surgery. I can only say that I wish the sleeve had been around when I was 21 instead of having to wait an additional 20 years to get it.

How To explain away my scars?
I am pretty much used to it, but I still want them to think I'm an "outie" not an "innie".

How To explain away my scars?
Ok, I'll give it a try, but the guys at work are look at me funny. But it's not like they don't already think I'm strange.

How To explain away my scars?
I tell'em that I was caught in a drive by. - Rollin Dirty. O.G. in da house!

Muscle Milk?
I have only drank one bottle, it was pretty good, it was chocolate, but it was expensive at the convenience store. So I switched to EAS carb control chocolate fudge (4 for $5 at Walmart) during my full liquid stage. I like them both equally, they both tasted like thin chocolate milk.

Starting out in a "stall"... has anyone else experienced this?
The weight will come off. I've been through at least 3 stalls that lasted around 7 days in my 11 weeks since surgery. I bugs the crap out of me every time. But suddenly, I'll wake up the next morning and be 1 or 2 lbs lighter. The weight loss is not steady or continuous, but it does come off. Hang in there. Keep pimpin your sleeve!

15 Days out and I've only lost 10lbs.

Freaking out a little bit :/
I was in the same position as yourself last November. Needing lose weight, couldn't lose it and keep it off on my own. I watched dozens of hours of Youtube videos from sleevers and RNY patients, read tons of testimonials, forum posts and blogs. Even got to talk to 3 people that had gone through sleeve surgery. But no matter how much reassurance people give you, there's always the lingering doubt that I'm the one that it won't work on. So there's nothing anyone can say to ease your worries. There's only 2 real questions you have to ask yourself: 1. Do you want to be where you are a year from now? 2. Do you see things improving without help? Good luck with your decision.

So did everybody weigh for the first time?
I weighed myself hours after surgery! When they got me up to walk, I saw a big scale in the hallway and hopped on.
