Congratulations!!!! That is so awesome. I totally agree with you, never thought I would enjoy running, some days I dread the thought, but when I go out and do it, it feels so good. I think some of the euphoria comes from knowing where I was before....getting winded going up the stairs. Great NSV!!

Congratulations! I have seen some info on the tough mudder and it looks like it would be fun, though I am no where near ready for something like that. Just started my 3rd week of couch to 5k. Good luck!

I was just thinking today, as I was taking the stairs at work, how one might think I took the easy way out. I have thought that at times myself. But after looking at my lifestyle change over the last 6+ weeks, it hasn't even been close to easy. I have worked very hard to make the right food choices, measuring and journaling every bite of food that goes into my mouth, counting every gram of protein that I consume, getting in the amount of required liquids and making sure I exercise every day. It's definitely a learning process and I am working very hard at it!

What you are feeling is perfectly normal! I had to work all weekend prior to surgery and when I got home I was so busy trying to get the house cleaned and laundry all done. Then I talked my mom's ear off on the way to the hospital and in the waiting room!
They will take great care of you and explain everything every step of the way until you drift off to sleep. Things will go just fine, take it one day at a time. You're going to do great! Good luck.

Hang in there! I felt it got easier with time, by the third day I was no longer hungry. You can do it!

After attending a seminar, I started thinking maybe I wanted to go with gastric bypass instead of the band. Then I met with my surgeon and he looked at my current BMI, where he felt I needed to be, my current health issues and my current exercise routine and he told me I would be very successful with the band, though he said it was my choice and he wasn't going to push me one way or the other. I chose the band and I'm only 2 weeks post op and have no regrets.

You are ahead of me as I am only a little over a week out, but at least you have a plan! That's half the battle in my opinion. Good Luck!
