  1. Do I need to start motivating you! Start small then go big. Try YouTube. I've been on a walk away the pounds kick lately.

Hi. I have been the same weight for a real long time because I am lazy. Even though your scale is the same have your measurements changed at all? Sometimes the inches go before the weight.

Keep up with the exercises because I haven't gone to the gym in real long time but I pay every month. I know, I am bad.

  2. Good Luck with your surgery. I wonder if you can do some type of arm workout weeks after your recovery time?

Great lets not give up know. Yes I have not been eating the right things also. I am trying to do better my physician told me to download this app on my phone Lose it and it lets me record my food and scan the things I eat which I love. I am going to try and do better. This is the lowest weight I have been in years I have got a little more weight to lose. I have to get a knee replacement next week and I got injured at work and hurt my back and neck. I can not exercise like I want to but I will have to do something to keep moving. I maybe can get back into exercise after the knee replacement.

  3. It was werid because I had no head or anything. I think because my laundry room is sorta seperate from my house and the only thing I have gas in my house is my furnace. But Trust and believe I will be buying a gas detector.

Glad to know , a lot could have happened , and if you were wandering why you made have got a few head aches, or were real sleepy , that gas leak may have been the problem also it was a good thing you didn't light nothing around it , OMG , well I am glad the gas company found and fixed it.

  4. Dang T....that sucks! I agree....I don't think you did anything to cause this. there are several people who have had a port replacement on LBT. From what I read, its a day surgery...sometimes even done in the office? You'll be back stronger than ever in no time. Will you be at the support group next thursday? I'm thinking I will be there. If you need anything, you know how to get in touch. Take care and feel better soon!

Cards sweep the Pirates this weekend? I hope so!

I will be there my friend.

  5. I don't feel guility at all. I am just saying I beleive I started going back to my regular routine way to early. I started working at both of my jobs 2 weeks after my surgery. Job one is a desk job and Job two is working at a day care so you can imagine how my days there went. You are right I have no controll over this but this time I will not try to speed up the healing process. It's hard being super women.

  6. As much as I couldn't wait for real food, I was also scared about having an episode; like the ones we read about. Because of that, I ate SO slow, and my bites were extra tiny. I paid close attention to how each bite felt, and little by little, I found my comfort zone. Certain things didn't feel good. They didn't make me sick, but I just didn't like the way they felt; made me a bit nauseous. So I excluded those things, and stuck to what felt comfortable. All the ground meats worked very well. Eggs, sort of hit & miss. Sometimes (even three months out), if I eat them in the morning, I'll taste them for hours. Not sick, just grossed out.

Just a suggestion..... On the fruits & veggies, make sure the veggies are cooked until they're very soft. Fruit and vegetables have been tricky for me. Some cause immediate discomfort as soon as they hit my stomach.

You'll be fine! It's okay to be a little scared, because that will help keep you focused on what you need to do. In the beginning, all of the teeny tiny slow eating helped me to retrain myself. If I'm preoccupied while eating, I may forget, but only momentarily.

    Good luck!

Great advice thank you so much!

  7. Thanks everyone. I just got home and my mail box was full of thank you cards. So maybe the swelling was worth it because the cards put a smile on my face. Today I take it easy it was hard but I did it. No leakage today and my temp was normal which is a plus. But I will continue checking my temp and my incisions. Thanks again for everyone's support and input.

  8. I was banded on May 1st and it's gets easier. Everyone post op diet is different but I can give you my advice and what has worked for me. After my surgery I was brunt out on sugar free jello and broths. I only had sugar free popsicles and water. Two day later I was able to at protein shakes. I don't know what protein shakes you are drinking but I love Atkins brand and Muscle Milk Cookies and Cream. I am sorry you broke it off with your boyfriend but things happens for a reason. You don't need any drama or anything extra right now to trigger your old habits. I am not going to tell you to forget about your ex because that is easier said than done, but try to keep your mind busy so your won't be tempted to call him. I have a pinterest account it keeps me busy for hours and the game Candy Crush. LOL I know this is an adjustment but you are going to do just fine. Remember the real reason why you got the lap band. Good luck to you.

  9. Wonderful on your 1 week! For your up coming birthday, how about a buffet of salad ingredients , fresh fruits and some cold chicken, shrimp or other protein you can eat and everyone can make their plate and enjoy "your" foods. For carbs you can serve pita breads, wraps so everyone can have something they enjoy. I love party planning. Desserts can be more fruit, SF fudgicles and Popsicles. And small cup cakes and you can have a bite.

    I hope I helped you.

That is a great idea! Because July will be very hot (well maybe I stay in the Midwest and our weather is funny as of lately) This will work thanks!
