  1. Just started feeling lightheaded and dizzy today. I do not think I am dehydrated because yesterday I drank about 40oz of water and today I woke up at 830 and am halfway through my 2nd 16oz bottle. My dr said for the first few weeks 32 oz is all that is necessary. I'm 6 days post op. What do you all think is wrong with me?
  2. I tried it but it kept coming out when we went at it rough tmi
  3. Now after reading all these comments I am very worried that I wont succeed. I posted a thread about this already. A lot of you are saying your Dr has you at 1000-1200 calories a few months out. I ate 1000-1200 calories before being sleeved and couldn't lose weight...I ate 1400 on days we went out and then I had to work out extra hard just to maintain. I am 6 days out...I dont get how this is gonna work for me
  4. You cant taste test if you are not to that stage yet..she had tasted guacamole when she was probably still on liquids. And most drs say not to chew gum because if you do swallow it which most adults consciencely know not too it can cause a mess in your stomach
  5. I'm six days post op as well and I felt the same way and yesterday I had a cup of decaf tea with a little skim milk and was able to drink that a lot faster than cold liquids
  6. I can't drink anything but water and tea...everything else is way too sweet... and I used to have such a sweet tooth
  7. Your not drinking an entire muscle milk in one sitting like you would pre op so when logging it you wouldn't put an entire container. I was only drinking 2oz 3x per day of Protein drinks so I can't log an entire 8oz portion each time I drink
  8. Pre op I loved cooking my chicken in the crock pot once per week with some type of marinade. I would put it in my pyrex and it would last me for the week where id just have to microwave it if I wanted it warm. From there I would think you would just need a nutribullet or food processor. I dont have a puree food phase but I think that would be the easiest way. My mom used to make my babyfood and she would just throw what everyone else was eating in the food processor.
  9. Remember you have to divide that serving size so calories and protein are gonna be lower...depending on your surgeon. My surgeon lets me have 2oz 3x per day so that would last me more than a day.
  10. Dont buy a lot because even though you love something now, your tastes may change temporarily after surgery. All my Protein shakes taste so sweet I plug my nose while drinking them and I used to love sweets.
  11. I was told a multi Vitamin with Iron in it (I'm taking flintstones lol) Calcium with Vitamin D And one pepcid complete per day He said we would talk about B12 shots at the 2 week appt.
  12. Another doctor may say something completely different
  13. Every dr is different. During the two weeks post op my dr only lets me have clear liquids plus a I can choose from a preapproved list of protein shakes to have 2oz 3x per day. Fruit he told me is a no no for quite a few months because of the sugar. I can start canned vegetables or regular (as long as they are soft) veggies the third week if they are cut up tiny. So all I bought were shakes, vitamins and some non caloric liquids like powerade zero and crystal light.
  14. I started getting overweight during puberty then obese and finally morbidly obese...because of this I dont have any adult skinny clothes (I'm 23). Can't wait to be able to shop
  15. So I let my SO look at some of the threads on here and he came across one talking about what are people eating post op.. he then made a good point to me and said "you ate this way before your surgery"...he wasnt trying to put me down because he is my biggest supporter but now I'm wondering what if I dont lose weight. I was sleeved on May 23rd and before surgery I usually ate 1000-1200 calories per day (1400 when we went out) I also exercised 5-6 days per week. Was anyone else like me who lived a very healthy lifestyle, had all the tests and still couldnt lose weight? What is your success like post op?
  16. I slept on my belly last night ! My first NSV! Was sleeved on May 23rd so only 4 days post op.
  17. I'm concerned for basically the opposite...I drink protein shakes 3x a day 2oz each time and I feel so restricted when drinking them that it takes me 1-2 hours to drink 2 oz. I'm hoping I will feel less restricted eventually.
