Those of you down to your goal, did your shoe size shrink? If so by how many sizes? I wear a size 11 and can't wait! I never can find cute shoes and the few stores that carry my size carry wide only and I dont have wide feet or ankles. Hoping they will shrink but also dont get the science of it, I dont feel much fat on my foot so how does it shrink?
2. I'm a week out also...and it really depends on the person, everyone recovers at different rates...I did my hair and make up the next day at hospital. I started work yesterday, went grocery shopping, walked about 2 miles a day since day 4. Driving fine, getting my nails done this afternoon. I was okayed to go to the gym. No pain really only restriction dr has is no swimming and that is hard when its above 90 degrees
3. Its not superficial if a man doesn't like a bigger woman...would you say it was superficial if a man didn't like a smaller woman? Of course if you are in a relationship and love that person love trumps attraction but when u begin dating attraction comes first. For instance, I dont like guys with too much muscle but if my fiance bulked up I would still love him. Its not superficial just a preference. Leave those single men who like big women to the big women haha.
4. Men have their types and so do women...I get hit on all the time at my current weight by men who like bigger women. I am in a commited relationship of 5 years and he obviously likes bigger women but he says he will love me regardless of size.
5. What about the nasal spray? I'm one week post op and my dr said we will talk about B12 at the two week followup but I believe we have a choice of shot or nasal spray
6. I had surgery on the 23rd (one week ago today) I just weighed myself for the first time today! Didn't think I lost a lot but lost 20lbs!! As long as you dont get addicted to the scale...I will weigh in once a week I think
7. Haven't had a real weigh in at the drs but I weighed myself for the first time today on my fairly accurate scale....268lbs before surgery 248lbs today! 3 BMI points! I know not to expect this every week but its still very exciting.
8. Everyone says my dog Harley could have rhodesian ridgeback in him. .. not pure bred in any way nor does he have the ridge but he is wrinkly and kinda looks like yours to the left. His pictures are a few posts before yet its hard to see the resemblance in those pics
9. I also got off depo to see if that helped me lose weight. ..every person I spoke to and article I read said it was unhealthy to stay on it for longer than 3 years...I'm very happy with the mirena (basically feel the same) but I am more at ease knowing the hormones are centralized "down there" lol
10. Haven't had my period in over 2 years because I was on depo and now on mirena...I get light spotting on mirena but not a full blown period...I'm 6 days post op..does anyone know if this will be a regular thing or not? I chose depo to not get periods and switched because I was told you shouldnt be on it long because of it taking away calcium...my nurse told me if I didn't get it with depo I wouldn't (except spotting) get it with mirena. Is it because I'm losing weight? If its a 1 time occurance that's fine
11. So yeah I'm obsessed with taking pics of my dog Harley...he is a little older than 2 (we adopted him at 9-10 months ish)..he is a lab mix but they are all called that...we think he has ridgeback and some type of hound as well...sorry there are so many pics, I couldn't choose :-)
12. I am 6 days out and it takes me an hour to drink 2 oz of protein shake
13. Which is why I am wondering if I have been on liquids for a week why was it kinda solid today?
14. I am now 6 days out and have been cooking since about 3 days out. My fiance doesnt ask me to and he says he feels bad but he works 2nd shift so by the time he comes home it is late. I dont feel hungry so it doesnt bother me...its kind of like a routine at this point.
15. I was debating putting this in the ladies room but whatever everyone poops...sorry if this is gross to some....So ive been having sorta liquidy poops post op and I know this is normal because I haven't eaten any solids (I am 6 days out) how come my bm today was sorta solid then? Wow I can't believe I just asked that
16. Its so hard what choice to make...you are not the only one saying this. I think I will throw a little Protein powder into my Water now...dont tell my dr
17. I mentioned to the nurse yesterday and doctor today that the protein drinks taste too sweet and i wasnt drinking them and both of them said I'm fine as long as I'm drinking water...but everyone on here says otherwise
