  1. Kirsten: The shirt idea was just so we could be identified as Bandsters walking in this event. When I just did the LA 5k we actually got shirts from the sponsors. It is entirely up to all the participants if they want shirts or not. We would need to jump on it though and get the design agreed upon and sizes and such SOON. I am with Alexandra I don't wanna organize a walk I just wanna participate in one. IT is very confusing how it works. I don't understand if we are supposed to organize our own group and then submit to the Walk from Obesity people or what. Maybe I will email that person listed. Then come back and post what I find out. I will do that. IN the meantime, WHO IS SERIOUS ABOUT WALKING?????????????????
  2. HI ya Diva: Here is a link to a thread talking about Proteins that is very informative. http://www.lapbandtalk.com/showthread.php?t=3498 Yes I was told 50 to 60 grams of Protein a day is the amount ot take in. I do a nice chocolate USANA Brand Protein Drink in the mornings that I put a tablespoon of Peanut Butter and a whole banana in a blender with 8oz of milk. YUM YUM!! That gives me about 25 grams of protein for the day. I get the rest with tuna, chicken, or some other meat. But the thread will help you decide what to eat. Lisa (DELARLA) on here also has sarcoidosis so you might wanna contact her.

Jenny: Cold items usually make restriction higher. So before eating don't do anything COLD. In fact you shouldn't be drinking anything for at least 30 min prior cold or hot. That will help lots.

Jenny: My first thought is you are too tight. But I need more input. Is your band a Lapband that hold 4cc or is it one that holds more? If you can only get down a couple of bites of food then I would suggest a small unfill.
  6. I think if I had to go bad enough I would certainly use it. IT would be fun to be in there to see everyone else trying to look in or to look at themselves. Pretty funny!!!
  7. I just resized your photo so hopefully this one works. I sent it to your email address.

Well I do try. HAPPY EASTER!!! What did everyone get for Easter?
  9. www.coldwatercreek.com is one of my favorite stores now. Beautiful clothes.
  10. Before 5pm or after 5pm? But in reality I guess it doesn't matter. LOL!!! You can find all kinds of really nice cocktail dresses at Coldwater Creek. Of course you need heels but you could do a kitten heel, like an inch to an inch and a half. You can never go wrong with a simple black dress and then grab some pearls to snaz it up. Get a dress that accentuates your curves instead of trying to hide them.
  11. http://www.goodolddogs2.com/older.html This cracked me up. Make sure you can hear the song it is a hoot

  14. Hey Karla: Welcome and post that pic.
  15. Zoe: I hear ya. I know the bra you are referring to and I bought one awhile back. I noticed the bra has this removable item that you can have cleavage or not. LOL!! Cleavage was never a problem for me. I got that I just think it is supposed to be up higher and not down around my belly button. LOL!!!! YEAH ZOE has cleavage. STRUT girl!!
  16. did you ask your surgeon why? I didn't have to avoid anything prior to surgery. I also did not avoid anything after either. coffee can be an irritant to the stomach lining so that could be a possibility. If I had to give up my coffee I would be a royal bitch. LOL!!!
  17. Will say a prayer for her and her family tonight. My thoughts go out to you at this time.

  22. Awww Vera, I wish I wasn't leaving town then. I would go with you to lend moral support. This really sucks bigtime. Ever thought of getting the Lapband instead of having a midband put back in? Just curious?
  23. Having just done the 5K here in Los Angeles, I am so ready to do the one in New York. I am so totally into it. It was a blast. We gotta get some shirts though. SO how do we sign up? Alexandra wanna be the point person for this?
  24. WE LOVE DR. BILLY!!! SLURP!!! OOPS!! Dennis is cute too though. That is Billy's assistant now. So Lisa should we ask Billy and Dennis if they want in on the calendar with you and I? LOL!!! YUM YUM BILLY NEKKID!!!
  25. Yo Esmeralda: I am in Van Nuys. I was just in Irvine for my surgery. I am also getting ready to leave town for the month of April but would certainly love to connect when I get home sometime in May. I could take the train to Fullerton and we could do lunch or dinner or something. That would be cool.
