  2. Hey to keep things consistent let's move this to the LBT CALENDAR GIRLS thread. I will try to merge these threads and see what happens. In the future let's chat about the calendar at the appropriate thread. I am so totally serious. Bring on the camera's. I am NOT shy in front of them. Go read the LBT Calendar thread and see. LOL!!
  3. Hey I am way serious about this calendar thingy. I want my tinsel on my boobys. LOL!!! "I'm ready for my close-up Mr. DeMille!" OH way too much deja vu. Ok Vera you wanted to know about the Hot tub incident. Here goes. This is a slight hijack but explains why I am into the nekkid calendar project. My boyfriend, John, and I did a cross country tour of House Concerts in 2000. John is a singer songwriter, www.johnm.com We had a Los Angeles film crew follow our every move and document the whole tour. John and I just finished the editing of our film and hopefully it will be released sometime this year. I will keep you guys posted. One scene was John and I in a hot tub at a friends house after a concert talking about the day and relaxing. I was a brave woman then. I see that scene now and I cringe. I am huge. LOL!! And yes I was nekkid. LOL!! Bubbles were strategically placed but the film crew and the sound person could see all. ARGH!!! I was really brave. LOL!!! It was still loads of fun.
  4. Aww Crystal: I think it is time for your rough patch to stop. Sending lots of white light your way. I will say a prayer for you as well. I had the horrible fibroid tumors and eventually had to have a complete hysto. I kissed my doc when he told me that. I was 27. Happiest day in my life at that point. NO more pain and no more hemorrhaging. My son had horrible asthma and I remember spending several nights in the ER. He was hospitalized for pneumonia from an ashtma attack when he was 2 and I was in RN school. I feel your pain. He has outgrown the asthma for the most part. HUGS Crystal
  5. Hope you don't mind I put the pics side by side. I can really see the difference. You should post these on the before and after pic thread.

Can someone please explain WHY Mikalah is STILL in the running. PUHLEASE!!!! someone kick her off. I don't think she has any talent. Other than her I think they all did really well. Bo sang one of my all time favorite songs. "TIME IN A BOTTLE" by Jim Croce. And he did it justice. Yes there is some redo or something going on. Doesn't mention if the contestants get to resing or not though. SIGH!! I hope NOT!
  7. Busted. LOL!! BORED here. LOL!! Jack, I was told that if the pill was larger than the eraser on the top of pencil then you need to break it up. I can swallow a tylenol caplet with no problem. The capsules or caplets are not a problem for me. The larger ROUND pills are what I have problems with. I usually have to break them in half by biting them. And yes there are some nasty tasting pills out there. I used to crush all my Vitamins till I found a liquid form.
  8. Don't have yahoo messenger on this laptop. BUMMER!!
  9. Yeah the milk somehow coats the pills. But the thing is be careful taking pills with milk. Some pills cannot be taken with milk due to how the pills break down in the stomach. Milk is considered a food substance and will compete with the stomach acids. SO check the pills before taking with milk. I have noticed that if I drink some warm or tepid Water with a pill it goes down easy. Or with hot tea it goes down easy.
  10. OK since miss Bitch oops sorry Lisa took September I want December. I wanna put tinsel in strategic places. LOL!! Also gotta have a bell somewhere. Hey if I can be in a hot tub with a full Los Angeles film crew complete with a sound person in the bathroom with me when I was at my heaviest, I can do a nude calendar. And I am so completely serious. I can help take the photos as well. This will be such fun.
  11. NO and you can't make me. REBELLION!! OH feels like being a teenager again. LOL!!! OK I am gone now for sure. Tylenol take me away. LOL!!
  12. My favorite mushy food still and I have it on occasion still is Refried beans, shredded cheese, can of chicken, and a little dab of sour cream on top. OH I add organic tomato soup about 1/2 cup while it all is cooking. Loaded with protein and so delicious. Filing as well.
  13. THanks Michelle: I am supposed to take it easy tonight. So, dinner is not an option. BUMMER!! I am breaking the rules by even being online. LOL!!! I do it for short periods of time. I get bored easily. If I had workout clothes with me I would go to the gym here. LOL!! And I am being tortured cause there is a starbuck's just down the street (within walking distance) but it is raining. GRRRRRRRRRR!!! That is just wrong.
  14. Resting for now. Eye is burning a little but otherwise I am fine. Chat with you ladies more tomorrow.
  15. We should pose naked like those English ladies did. You know we could pose in front of lapbands. LOLO!L!! GIANT ONES!!
  16. OK so I leave this morning on the Train for Irvine. Then check into the hotel. Then just sit and twiddle my thumbs in the room till tomorrow morning. I have the hotel shuttle me to the clinic. 8a I have my eye surgery. Then shuttle me back to hotel where I crash for a few hours to rest. Next day I head back home on the Train. I am really anxious but I know eveyrthing will be fine. I get like this just before surgery. ANY surgery. I am a nurse so I know all the stats and scenarios that could go wrong and that sorta plays on my mind. I also know that this is minor and I will be awake so the amount of things that can go wrong are less. I just will center myself and take deep cleansing breaths for the next 24 to 48 hours. LOL!! OH yeah one more thing. I might not be on the computer as much after the surgery. I will most likely need to give my eye time to recuperate. So, signing off till around Friday. Take care everyone and be good to each other. Life is way too short. Blossom gets a rose bush in the near future in our garden. Along with a cute concrete animal of some kind.
  17. I lost ONE whole pound. I am down to 239. YEAH out of the 240's. FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. Kathy I love that idea of naming your band a male name. That will teach the EX won't it. LOL!!!
  19. YUP been there done that. I am almost a year out and I still get that pain. I think it is the port area actually. IT can also be gas as well. But to be on the safe side it is always good to ask your doc about it. I usually do a heating pad and take some Tylenol. If I move that area too much or do too many strenuous ab crunches it get aggravated.
  20. dlogan: GOOD LUCK on your surgery tomorrow. I will have you in my prayers. It is exciting and scary all at the same time. I almost hyperventilated going into the OR during my surgery. LOL!!
  21. Panda: I couldn't agree more with Beth. It is normal to be anxious / apprehensive prior to any surgery. I can't speak if you are making the right decision or not but for me it was the absolute right one. I have never regretted the surgery. I have a much better quality of life now.
  22. AWWW Pink!! I hear you and I understand completely. I am almost a year out and there are still days every now and then where I think to myself did I do the right thing. Then I think about what I have gained by losing 57 lbs. You will get through this. You are normal to have these feelings. Even on the days I feel like I might have made a mistake I realize that it was the best thing I ever did. And I would do it again in a heartbeat. Have I had setbacks? YES Have I eaten things I knew weren't good for me or my band? YES Did I learn from my setbacks and bad food choices? YOU BET It sucks to feel this way but it will pass. Come here and vent whenever you want. There is always someone here to listen and feel your pain. Crystal; The bad taste is the ketosis effect.
  23. Melissa: I too had weeping incisions for almost 4 weeks after my Mexican doctor placed the band. Luckily mine healed. I have had some port issues. My port tilted and the tubing was almost protruding through my skin. If the Port had been placed deeper in the abdomen and the excess tubing either trimmed or pushed back up into the abdominal cavity (which is what the American docs do) the port revision surgery I had by my American doctor would not have had to take place. I am skeptical with the fatty tissue explanation. My Mexican doc told me that the protruding area would go away with more weight loss. My American doc said that is not possible and it would eventually poke through the skin and that would mean to take the port out till the area heals. Please take all the precautions and I would even get a second opinion. The liquid needs to be cultured before any surgery takes place. If they don't then you could end up in the situation Lisa found herself in.
  24. Phillip, here is a poem I wrote that I hope gives you some peace. Losing a loved one and a soul mate is always hardest on the ones left behind. We sometimes run the gamut of emotions from anger to deep depression. Know this is normal and you are truly loved not only by God but by your darling Carolyn sitting at his feet. This is a sad time for us all and my prayer for you is to find peace. Blossom will be missed. ETERNITY by: Penni Merrick Is there Love after we die? Can there be Love in eternity? I would dream of that day. I imagine Love in eternity is perfect and never-ending. Would that be my dream? I will run to Love in eternity?<O:p</O:p
  25. Tropicana: I am a grazer as well. I still have those tendancies but I have managed to lose 56 lbs since being banded. If I had not had the surgery I would still graze and most likely be heavier than when I started. So, to answer your question yes you will still have the grazing tendancy but you will eat less. The band works as much as you work it. It isn't a quick fix to all our eating issues. You gotta do that work. UGH!! I know I hated hearing that too. But I am down 56 lbs and I am a grazer still. I just try to keep healthier stuff to graze on in the house. I don't buy anymore of my grazing foods. Hope that helps.
