  1. I agree taking your vitamins is parmamount. It should pass and you may want to shake up your diet and eat some different foods....power foods.
  2. How do you like the Eas? I was going to try and buy that last night but chickened out.
  3. Well one of my daughters teases me a little and you can whenever I mention losing weight she gets very excited.
  4. I won't miss having to put deodorant in places not meant for deodorant. I won't miss feeling embarassed to eat in front of people. I especially won't miss being the "fat girl" everywhere I go.
  5. Take it one day at a time.
  6. Wooohoooo....I look forward to riding a roller coaster this fall at six flags.
  7. Just smile and say thank you....you can tell them that you are watching what you eat and you're more active which is the TRUTH.
  8. Thanks for the tip....I thought you were going to say that it loses it's nutrients....I was going to say NOOOOOOOOO lol.
  9. Not every public housing program is in unsafe area. You just have to do your research you can find some pretty nice apartments.
  10. I haven't been scheduled yet, I'm waiting on my surgery date. Yes it will be first 5k running. I have done the walk plenty of times. Thanks I hope so
  11. I'm going to try going out in the morning. Just for 20 minutes to do the couch to 5k challenge. I could do this in addition to my refular workout routine. I want to really step it up. I know that I will be out of commission right after surgery....so I figure I'd better get my head start in now.
  12. Yes they don't make it easy to get the surgery. I guess it's also a way for the doctor's and the insurance company to determine how serious you are. I have been at this since 2/4/13.....hoping to have surgery this month.
  13. omg I just had my last weigh in on 5/30/13 and I'm just waiting for an approval. They told me it can take up to 2 weeks. I hope it comes sooner. I still don't have a date yet.
  14. Congratz....now you can get everything prepared.
  15. no....at least you didn't swallow it. I've actually done that in the past just to taste it. I felt very pathetic afterward. Don't sweat it....try to focus more on your goal and drink plenty. I would also suggest doing things that distract you from feeling like your hungry....do you nails, hair, read, watch movies, etc.
  16. That is great progress.....congratz....keep up the good work.
  17. I'm not on anything at the moment. I have been using the natural method. I keep track of my cycle very closely and just don't have sex on days that I'm ovulating. I am going to talk to my obgyn about Essure though because I don't want to mess around and get pregnant. I know they say the surgery can mess with your hormones and it may throw my cycle off. I've already had 3 kids and my hubby and I agree that we don't desire anymore.
  18. I haven't had my surgery yet....but the heat just suppresses my appetitie anyway.
  19. I quit cold turkey.....I do still crave the fizz but I dare not touch it. I haven't had my surgery yet but I'm trying to really prepare myself mentally and physically. I drink lots of crystal light, sugar free freeze pops, and water.
  20. Yea don't sweat it...you are introducing food to your body that you haven't had in quite a while. Just continue to follow the doc's orders, get your water in and remember to eat your protein first.

  22. mami is absolutely right. WLS isn't for everyone and there many other ways to lose weight. Surgery is serious and you have to be all in or not at all. Your lifestyle has to change completely and you may not be ready yet or you may be willing to lose weight another way. No matter what you decide don't give up. You know that you started this journey for a reason and you don't want to put that on the back burner.
