My last sip of soda
I know that I have to give up soda and anything carbonated....so I am taking my last few sips of my diet sierra mist as I am writing this. It's worth giving it up now....I know I had a love for this stuff as well as coffee. These two things are minor considering what I'm going to gain by getting the surgery.

Almost to the pre-op diet...My story
Thats great....congrats on your decision. I'm getting the rny as well. You will do well...just make sure you get lots of liquids you like, crystal light, flavored water, and maybe even sugar free jello if the nutritionist allows that. Do plenty to keep your mind off eating, read, write, work out, pamper yourself, blog, watch videos on youtube from others that have had rny or make your own vlog.

Stage I : liquid diet- Pre-Op
Congrats on making it through the two wk liquid diet. you make sound so hard and I'm sure it is. However, I know it's worth it. I'm trying to increase my water intake now....so that it won't be so hard to switch over to liquids when it's my turn. Thanks for the tip on the Pepto.....don't want any surprises :-)

What to eat for energy?
I'm not a big breakfast person but I know that I need to start eating properly. What do you eat for breakfast to ensure energy throughout the day. I'm not too huge on protein shakes or drinks. I've tried muscle milk which wasn't horrible and a fruit punch drink from walmart, and also ISOPURE....but I'm not sure these are things that I'm not to be able to drink regularly. I haven't had my surgery yet but I figured I might as well get used to life after surgery now....so I'm not in for a shock later.

The Why?
So I have been overweight since I hit puberty. It wasn't an issue until several years ago. After, I started having children the weight just never disappeared and then after some time the weight just continued and continued to increase and now I know that I need to do something. I don't think that I'm ugly or unslightly but life isn't as enjoyable as it should be and I kow that if I lost the weight I would be a more lively person. So here I am started the journey to the rest of my life.

How to prepare
I will have to sleep on the couch as well...my bed is pretty low to the floor and my hubby and 2 yr old are wild sleepers. Yes my 2 yr old is still in our bed.....we are working on it.... My couch is rather uncomfortable so hopefully I won't have to be out there too long.

Surgery Buddies? :)
How did it turn out? How are you feeling?

"The Easy Way Out"
I love the quote....wls is definitely not the easy way out. It takes long process just for a surgeon to even consider you for surgery....it's expensive, painful, and it take a whole of committment on your part. I'm going to so use this quote.

How to prepare
I'm in CT and I have family around.....it's just everyone is so busy. So maybe I will have my mother, aunt, and sister visit to help out a bit. It's hard to for me to ask for help but I need to suck it out and ask.

How to prepare
That is a good idea I like the this idea. So pretty much prepare just as I did before I was getting ready to give birth. However, being that I may be out of commission a little longer I need to set up a more organized routine for chores. Then to just make things a little less crazy perhaps I should get paper plates and cups to decrease the amount of dishes that need to be washed. I could also do freezer meals for the first few weeks.

How to prepare
Okay so I don't have a date just yet, I have my last weigh in on 5/30. However, I do want to start preparing my self for surgery. I work full time and I have four small children. I am married but my husband does work....Does anyone have suggestions or tips of what I can do to ensure that my recovery is as easy as possible?

Last weigh in!
I have my last weigh in the 30th, I can't wait. This has been a long wait and I'm anxious to get my surgery date so that I can really start preparing myself.

You look great....keep it up

When Should I Start Considering It Weightloss?
I wouldn't get too hung up on the day to day weight loss. Your weight is going to flucatulate based on your hydration, muscle gain or loss, and many other factors. Don't drive yourself crazy.

APPROVED!
Congrats....I know you are excite. I wish you well with surgery, recovery, and weight loss of course.

count down
Whooohooo you will do great.

Weighing Food - Before or After Cooked
I would say after as well.

I just don't get it!
What are you eating? Is your diet high in protein. If so perhaps when you are working out you gaining muscle, which as you probably already know is heavier than fat. Do you see any other changes in yourself? Are you clothes fitting better? Do you measure yourself with a tape.

Just As I Expected....
I pray for an approval. This is such a big decision and so much is entailed and having to worry about whether you are going to approved is just too much.

overnight stay & leaving children, plus DH reaction
I don't think you should worry too much about your hubby's reaction. My husband is very supportive of me getting the band and he is excited as well. He hasn't told me that he doesn't think I need it because the truth of the matter is that I do need it. He has seen me struggle with diets and working out with little to no results. Plus the idea of me feeling better about myself makes him happy. So I guess you should look at it from the perspective. Having Banding!!!!1

What did you tell you family/friends?
I'm not telling the whole world at this time but I have shared this journey with my hubby of course, my mom, sister, best friend, and a couple of friends from work.

Seriously Embarrassed !
