Heading to Silver Dollar City!

I am going to be attending my first amusement park in like 10 years!! I'm heading to Branson, MO for the weekend with a sweet friend and we are planning on going to Silver Dollar City. I haven't been to an amusement park in years because I just didn't fit in the rides! I'm so excited!! I think that I should be able to fit in them now and I am ready to start living life again! Has anyone been to SDC before? Any tips or recommendations?

Thanks! :D

Be prepared to do a lot of walking up and down hills. Also, depending on the weather and temperature it gets humid. If there is a good breeze it isn't as bad. They also have a cave on the grounds that you can go through, if you like something like that. If you like shopping there are two outlet malls in Branson (or there use to be, I moved from there eight years ago but went back about five years ago to buy shoes and they had both then). Downtown Branson also is good to tour. Nightime have various shows performing if you can get tickets. Enjoy, it is a fun place to visit but during the summer months wouldn't want to live there. Back to back traffic.

Thanks everyone for the advice! Thankfully, I won't be driving, so I can just sit back and enjoy the scenery instead of worrying about traffic. I am hoping to tour Marvel Cave at the park. I am also hoping to partake in some of those shopping malls! I know we're going to The Presley's Country Jubilee. My friend said it's his favorite show.

Wow!! What a difference losing 113 pounds can make!! This theme park experience was so different from before!! Last time I was publicly humiliated when I couldn't fit in the roller coaster. I was just crushed. This time, I rode every ride possible!! I fit comfortably in every ride we went on and had the time of my life!! I had energy all day long to walk the park. I still want to lose quite a bit more, but I finally feel like I can be free and just live again!! I am overjoyed!!! Oh, and another NSV, I went to a Cardinals baseball store and was actually able to purchase a women's cardinals tank top! I usually have to buy the men's size shirt because the women's just do not fit in that type of official sports shirt. I was very happy to be able to buy a girly Cardinals shirt instead of a baggy men's style!
