  1. Definitely do this...this could save you time. I am so sorry that this person that calls herself a doctor treated you this way. People can be so demeaning. I am glad that you found a new doctor and I hope this one works out for you. Hang in there, it will be worth it!
  2. Have a blast! We still do after being banded, I just eat off of him..lol So much cheaper!
  3. I have only been banded since 2/28, but I am no longer interested in food neither. I made Red velvet balls for a church function and I didn't even want one. That is amazing to me. Before I had a major sweet tooth, but now sweets do not appeal to me in the least. Neither does bread. I love the way the band has helped me get past it. I know that I have a long way to go, yet I am really not too worried about it. I know as long as I watch my portions and exercise 5-7 days a week, then I can do this. I can't wait to be able to post about my weight loss success too. Thanks for being inspirations!
  4. I am 4 weeks post op today and I can only have fish, seafood, soft veggies, soft fruit, soft pasta, and crackers. I can have chicken at 6 weeks post op, along with beef and pork. Maybe it is just too soon to be eating chicken. Hope this helps.
  5. I would definitely call Doctor about that. The fluid had to go somewhere.
  6. Are you a Medical Technologist? I am..so I know exactly what you mean.
  7. Great posts! I too was an over eater and then I would feel guilty about it..glad my band has given me a new start in life. I can only eat around 900 calories a day and I now love exercising. I would imagine I was getting around 4000 calories before surgery. I love my band!
  8. It could be that or you could just be gaining muscle weight.
  9. I have had PCOS for 18 years. It is a dreadful thing to have. I have spent most of my life since then obese. I have had 4 miscarriages and I have one daughter that I conceived using fertility drugs and HCG trigger shots. I was banded on 2/28/13, hoping that it would help me have more children as well. I have since lost 20 lbs and I feel great. I have not starting having periods again on my own, but I am sure that it is going to happen when I drop some more weight. We are going to start trying again when I reach goal. I wish you luck and lots of baby dust!
  10. 'That is awesome...I want to be able to run like that.
  11. Congrats! Welcome to bandland!
  12. Thanks for this formula it is great to have!
  13. I think you are doing very well! Keep up the good work!
  14. I walk 3 miles everyday. I do it, because I know that if I go back to my old ways I will not go any further in my weight loss and I want it so bad. I am more motivated than I have ever been. I recommend setting little goals and rewarding yourself with non-food items. When I exercise I try everyday to push myself harder and tell myself you can go further or walk faster. I feel great because of exercising..those endorphins are awesome. Best of luck!
  15. I know how you feel. I have always comforted myself with food and pretty much every family function had to do with food and lots of it. I have learned since 2/28/13 that I want to be healthy and look and feel good about myself more than I want the food. So, decided just the other day that I need to reward myself every time I lose 20 lbs and not with food, which the old me would have done...so I went out and bought a Coach purse that I have always wanted. Mind you this was a big step considering I am as cheap as they come and have never spent over $20 for a purse. I decided that I deserve this and I need to reward myself for making smart food choices. That might be a good idea for you..reward yourself with non-food items. It has helped me realize that everything is not about food. I wish you the best and trust me it does get better! I always tell people this is the hardest best decision I have ever made for myself.
  16. That is a tough one, since you can't have carbonation. I would suggest saltine crackers if you had any. They helped me when I was pregnant.
  17. I am proud to report that the scales are moving down again after my first fill. I have lost 4 lbs in 4 days. Feels great to have went down a size in clothes too. My hubby and I just booked our 10 yr anniversary cruise and I have got to be bikini ready..lol
  18. I had my first fill at 3 weeks post-op this past Wednesday and I am doing great with my 3 cc's. I get another fill on 4/22.
  19. I love zumba and I am fixing to start back at it. You burn and insane amount of calories which is awesome..personally don't care if I look stupid, because I am burning calories and losing weight.
  20. Congrats on your success! I think I am more motivated than I have ever been in my life and it feels great to be succeeding. I never would have thought I could walk 3 miles a day, but I am and I love it. Can't wait to try other stuff that I couldn't do before. I love my band for helping me, but I know that I am the main contributor to losing the weight..because I want it that bad!
