    Broke that Barrier!

    Awesome!
  2. Thanks for the advice. I think I am going to change things up a bit and see if that helps. Maybe try some new exercises also.
  3. I need some advice on getting off of this plateau. I haven't lost any weight in about 2 weeks. Yes, I know this might not be a major plateau for some, but it is for me. My weight had been falling off at 1-2 lbs a week up until now. I log everything in MFP, I exercise at least 5 days a week. My doctor put me on only 900 calories a day, which seems too low to me. I think that my body is going into starvation mode. I just had a fill on 6/3 and I haven't lost with that. I know that I am not in the green zone yet, because I am hungry every 3 hours and the pounds are just not dropping now. Any advice would be great. I feel like I am following my doctor's guideline exactly, so why am I stalling out? Thanks for any input you have. I love getting positive feed back, but please keep all the negative comments to yourself, they really make people more discouraged. I only saying that, because I have had that happen before. Thanks! The new me 42 lbs lighter!
  4. I can do wraps, but no bread for me!
  5. Butt naked! lol I don't want anything weighing me down. Also, first thing in the morning. I am trying to break the weighing everyday habit, it just brings me down.
  6. I am almost 4 months post op: Breakfast: Usually greek yogurt or turkey bacon or sausage. Lunch: I love wraps made with low carb tortillas, turkey pepperoni, ham, and cheese. Sometimes I eat tuna or chicken salad too. Supper: Baked or grilled meat, I can pretty much any meat, but I stick to the leaner varieties. Veggies. Snacks: String cheese, fruit, yogurt, sf jello, sf popsicles. I do eat potatoes occasionally. Pasta and rice rarely. On the days I eat these I make sure to have a really good workout to counteract the carbs. Hope this helps!
  7. I have 5 cc in my 10 cc band. I was banded on 2/28/13 and have lost 42 lbs. It has been slow for me the past month, but I have at least lost. I guess like the other person said, just go back to the basics. I would like to hit the green zone too. I can eat more than a cup, but I try not to. I get hungry in between meals also. I am hoping that when I get 6 cc's I can be there finally. Good luck to you! 65 lbs is great, but I can understand your frustrations too.

You look awesome, thanks for sharing!

    Calories in-calories out=?

My MFP always says I will weigh 173 in 5 weeks for the past week, well my weight finally went down again after a week. I wouldn't go by that, because it never seems to go that way and you will get discouraged. My doctor put me on 900 calories a day, which is perfect for me. I can't seem to get much more than that in.

    New here!

Everyone that starts this journey has pretty much the same fear of failure. I have lost 42 lbs and I still have that same fear. You will do great! Just stick to your doctor's plan. Good Luck!

    Image Is Not Always, Everything!!!

Awesome word! My hubby always tells me that he would love me big or small. Makes me feel so good too.
  12. Sometimes family is not very supportive. I am sorry that you feel discouraged. I think that it just depends on the person. I would rather have loose skin, than be diabetic or have a heart attack. You just have to see what is more important to you in the long run. I wish you luck on your journey!

    nutrition

Not yet, but thanks for the idea. I love greek yogurt, so I am betting that it will be just as good. How many calories does it have in it?

First Fill in a few hours

I have had 3 fills since 2/28/13. They are always easy for me. I am sure that you will do fine.

    Clothes

I have given all my clothes away. I plan on never being the size I was again. What is the point of going through all of this in the first place only to fail? That is just my saying that gets me through anyway.
  16. This definitely is the hardest part of the whole process, but it is a necessity. Sugar free popsicles were a necessity for me. Just try to focus on everything, but food that is the only thing that got me through it.

    Nutrition and working out

Seem like you are doing everything right. Are you logging you food and counting calories? There are always hidden culprits in the food we eat. I would try calorie cycling to get you going. Just every other day eat 100-200 more calories than the day before. It has great success in getting you started and keeping you out of a plateau. Best of luck!

I've got to get a handle on things

I always grab a sf popsiscle if I getting the craving. I also heard that if you eat a pickle, the saltiness takes away the sugar craving. Hope it gets better for you.
  20. I have picked up a bug and was wondering how that affected Lap Banders. I have never thrown up or had a stuck episode so far and not sure what to expect. I am feeling really nauseated. Any advice would be great. Thanks.

    Removal

I am so sorry that you are having a hard time. I can tell you this though, it does get easier. The first few weeks you do struggle with adapting to a new you. It was so hard to get water in, gas pains, and of course incision pains. After those first few weeks you will feel great. You will see the weight start dropping and have even more energy than before. Your exercise program kicks butt, I had to work my way into exercising. I never exercised prior to surgery, but I started exercising 3 weeks post op and have been going hard at it since. You will get back to your normal routine just going to take some time. I hope that you will keep pushing through! You will get there and it is going to be awesome. Sending lots of prayers and hugs from Georgia!
  22. I am feeling better. I never vomited, just nausea and stomach pain. Thanks for the advice. My poor daughter still doesn't feel well..poor baby.
  23. Thanks guys. I think I am going to give the doc a call. I know my way around a needle, but not going to do the unfill myself.

    Port "Pinches"

I have a problem if I sleep on that side. It gets sore and also after doing ab exercises. I think it is pretty normal for me to be a little sore there when doing those things.
